We are home now....at WLV!!

Saturday at the MK was very crowded. The F&W Festival at Epcot was crowded all the time. DTD was mobbed most evenings. Close to empty during the day.

AK wasnt bad on Thurs. MK was pretty full Fri. MNSSHP tonight was great. Walk ons at SM and BTM.
Deb and Bill, sorry for the bad grammar;)

AHHH...........we went over to check on our beloved home today. Not sure if it was our imagination or what but it did look sparse in some areas like there had been a lot of downed trees. :( :( :( But still as beautiful as ever. It made me very homesick. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

We're just back from 5 nights at WDW (stayed at AKL -- never again; no more hotels for us -- DVC has totally spoiled us!!). We went over to the WL Saturday night to see how "our" Lodge weathered the hurricanes and I actually got tears in my eyes to see the missing archway.

It's so funny how we get so attached to our homes-away-from-home!

We were neighbors for a night. We had rooms 4548 and 4550. First stay at VWL and we fell in love with it. I was just checking out some resales-that's how much I loved it.

Sorry for the long delay in writing back. Been runnin' We are heading to Epcot today for lunch then MNSSHP tonight. Kids were in MNSSHP parade Sun so we didnt get to see and do as much as we wanted. But it was cool they were in it. DD said they spent quality time with Donald before it started;)

Crowds at F&W werent bad yesterday.

BTW, the sign at entrance here is being put back together. We were on the monorail 1st time yesterday and WL is very much more in view than before.

JimmyTammy, Dh and I , and DD1 were at MNSSHP on Sunday. We watched the 10:00 parade from in front of the Bakery. DH was in Orlando on business, we stayed at the Omni Orlando Resort for his conference. We snuck over to MK Sunday night for the party. DD8, and DD5 were her at home with the grandparents, DD5 is still very unhappy that Mom and Dad did MK without her!!! Anyway, we had a great time and enjoyed the rides with no crowds. I did make a pass by WL and spent some money in the mercantile. The first thing I noticed was the ability to see the villas so plainly when I drove in. You could really tell, that some trees had been thinned out in that area. Hope you continue to have a great time!

Was the parade very crowded at the 10pm? We were thinking of doing it there ourselves tonight.

No, nothing was crowded on Sunday night. We walked up about 9:50 and parked our stroller just behind the folks that were already sitting on the curb. We had a large space around us with no one. It was great when the characters came by because there were so few people they really paid a lot of attention to the kids, and the adults that were dressed up. We only stayed about 3 1/2 hours because DD1 was spent by 10:30 so we went back to our hotel. But we rode everything that we didn't have to baby swap for, ate dinner at Cosmic Rays, watched the fireworks and the parade, all in 3 1/2 hours (not too bad). I think our longest wait was 5 min. for the Pooh ride.

Thanks for the reply. We saw the 10 parade on Main St. and it was great. No crowds at all! Great view of the Headless Horseman. I really hope the pictures of him come out OK.

Yeah, I took a photo of him too, with my disposable. Don't know if it will come out very well. DD's that stayed home really want to see it, so I need to get them developed soon. Glad the parade wasn't crowded for you! Erin

we have asked every trip but this was the first time it was available. It was really cool!! Ranger Stan is so nice and makes the experience so much better. We saw the whole World from up there and got lots of pics. DW said she will post them once we get back. Tommorrow we hit the highway:( It goes by so fast.

BTW, I just met the GM of the Villas. DW and I were disscussing over breakfast how many pts it would take for a permanent stay here. Brian said a lot but he would see what he could arrange. On behalf of all us DVCers and VWL owners I thanked him for such a wonderful place to stay.

Also, we have seen several PGA golfers staying here though I couldnt tell you their names. Just recognize them from TV. Also have seen a couple of sportscasters from ESPN.
