Good evening! I'm sitting in my room at the Paradise Pier looking out at our non theme park view of the park. We are on the 3rd floor facing the park but it is considered standard view.

NOTE: the pool is closed here until May 14th. No water in it even. They gave us keys to the other two hotel pools so we could use them.

We spent the day with some family at the parks, but left around 4 to come move our stuff into our room. We didn't get into town until around 2 am so we were pretty beat. The kids had fun on the water slide (the kiddie pool and slide are open) and then we went to dinner at ESPN zone.

So, we are here until Saturday. If anyone has any burning questions, I'll try to answer for you during our stay. :)

The weather was HOT today, at least for us. High 80's with very little breeze early on. The winds did pick up and the evening was very pleasant.

Good for you guys, how fun. We will be there Wed. afternoon. What is the weather forecast do you know? All the internet sites vary so much. How were crowds or did you go into the park today?

Wow! I am so jealous! We were just there April 11-14 - pool view though. Actually the pool was open then, wonder if they're refurbing???

Just have an absolutely wonderful time and do as much as you can! Take care of your feet!!!!

Silence, it is so nice of you to post all of this information. :thumbsup2

There is nothing like "first hand....at the park" info. pirate:

Have a great time at Walt's Park. :cool1:

:goodvibes OH have a great time! Im so jealous that your there now. Can you let me know if 3 regular sized adults can fit into one doom buggy in the Haunted Mansion?

Well, two very pooh sized adults and a child fit just fine. I'd say yes, 3 regular size adults would have no problem.

no waits today. we waited the longest actually during early entry for peter pan! our "10 min" posted wait time for space mountain was the walk to the ride. in fact, they weren't even using fast passes, everyone was entering that line.

it was a much nicer day weather wise, though we stayed at disneyland all day and didn't go to the other park.

had a wonderful lunch at blue bayou today. water side seating and awesome food/service. though, we decided since all of the adults wasted 1/2 our lunch, that 3 of us could have split 2.

Thanks for the update. We are staying offsite this time and have AP's so we don't have EE. I was hoping that the waits would be minimal. Our plan is for DL on Wed. afternoon and all day Thurs. and CA on Fri. We have not decided if we are going in on Sat. since it is a blackout day. We have Storyteller's planned, DTD and hanging out at the pool so far.

Sounds like a nice trip, zero crowds what is better? Enjoy your vacation!

Lucky you! We'll be staying at PP in less than two wks:yay: How long does it take to walk to Disneyland through DD?

well, this morning we got to the monorail station at just before 8 and we were told it would not be running until 820ish (we had early entry). so we walked to the main gates. by the time we got through and to the castle, it was 820......

it was much faster to go through the grand californian hotel which we did on the way home tonight. i think it took us like 10 min? and that was with some VERY tired feet.

Sounds just wonderful - are you going to hit the other pools?

it depends on how we feel friday i think. tomorrow we have family meeting us and i don't know that we will last all day in the park friday without a break.

we walked by a pool at the grand yesterday and it was packed though...so i'm not sure. the kids sure did enjoy the slide though.

We will be there tomorrow, looks like it was really hot today?

it felt ok even though i think it was supposed to be hotter than yesterday? i think it was because we were in disneyland vs. dca though. there is more shade in disneyland. but, we also tried to hit pirates and small world when it was scorching too.....for a nice cool break from the heat.

i must say though that those squirt bottles with the fans were being bought left and right. also, the water was not "ice cold", as i think they were selling way too many to keep them on ice long. we got cups and ice from the restaurant to get it super cold the way we like it.

I was surprised that the GC pool looked so much smaller than the ones at the other hotels so I will be eager to hear what you think if you try it!

You know about the special black out day pass prices right? Just making sure!
