We *are* going to Star Wars W/E **WE ARE BOOKED :)

Sounds like you need to talk to DH if there are no fireworks! :lmao:

I've seen Wishes several times and love the soundtrack. But I've never seen it up close. All I've seen are the fireworks. Last year I watched it from my balcony at the Poly several nights. A couple times it was from Narcoossee's or California Grill. Maybe my next trip I'll actually see Tink fly!

:rotfl: Poor DH.

We just can't seem to get the dinner/fireworks logistics pinned down. One trip we were at dinner by 6 PM every night and we hated it because we felt so rushed in the afternoon. Then we tried bumping dinners at 7 PM the next trip, and sometimes that worked better but sometimes we were starving before 7 PM. When we have been to Cali Grill we were always finished eating WAY before the fireworks and didn't feel like wating around. We've also been to Narcoosee's and left before the fireworks started.

We went to the MK Dessert Party in '09 and that was pretty good. In '08 when we stayed at the Poly the view from there was really good. I keep thinking that maybe we'll grab a spot on Main St. and just sit there for hours and hours, but when theory meets practice I can't do it.

Yep. I just don't understand how people justify sitting still for so long waiting for such a short event.

The one year we did MNNSHP we tried waiting (about 30 min though, not hours) for the parade. We thought we'd found a good spot, we were in the 2nd row behind a family that were sitting behind the rope. Then, as soon as the parade started, they stood up and lifted their kids on their shoulders. Why wait around for the front row, if you're going to make yourself that tall??? And, why not warn the people who wait behind you with a wheelchair that you're going to completely block their view? (There were other options at the time we started waiting that would have worked just fine.)

I do not understand how people wait that long either. I am not a good at waiting. I can't believe the people in front of you did that! It just doesnt even make any sense! The kids were just fine on the ground! Some people:headache:.

I have to admit though that we have watched wishes at The Magic Kingdom. It was at the request of my gf's Dad! Yep, Dad wanted to see the fireworks and we did. I have to admit they were great!

we usually sit our butts on rides during parades and during the fireworks except if we pay for MHSSHP then we tend to watch the fireworks and parade but we don't camp out for hours before... ten-fifteen minutes sure... hours no way jose!

Sitting at the rope is dangerous. Little kids yank on it and it whips around. And because invariably the parents of the rope-yanking kids have no sense, the yanking gets more and more vigorous the longer you sit there. But for parades we do frequently sit at the rope if we are going to bother to watch.

I had chartered a Wishes cruise this year, but our plans changed so I cancelled it. Maybe next year! I can have IPO make the reservation for me.

I think we have watched fireworks from Main St. exactly twice. Our very first trip was in January and it wasn't crowded, so we stood in the middle of Main St. Then one year we went to the Pirate & Princess party. It was DESERTED, so we watched from the hub. The ice cream shop was empty, so we got ice cream like 5 minutes before the fireworks started.

The year we went to MNSSHP we watched fireworks from near the Christmas shop, but that's not really Main St. It was still a decent spot, though.

We've been to MVMCP 3 times and I don't think we have ever watched the fireworks properly. Mainly because we always end up in Frontierland for the parade! :rotfl:

WOO HOO! :woohoo:
Airfare is down to less than $1200! What a bargain! :lmao:
Of course our return date isn't even on the schedule yet. The flight TO Orlando is only $110, which it perfectly reasonable. The flight home is $255, which is ridiculous. I'll just keep watching. :rolleyes1
