We are going at Thanksgiveing any suggestions?

Thanksgiving is a holiday weekend which means you will encounter significant crowds. A good touring plan is absolutely essential. www.tourguidemike.com, the Unofficial Guide to WDW, and www.buildabettermousetrip.com are all good sources for touring plans.

You'll want to plan your schedule so that you can be at the park as soon as it opens as this will be your most productive times for rides and attractions. Because of this, I recommend that you do not schedule any character breakfasts - do a character lunch instead, then you can get out of the crowds when they're getting heavy.

Avoid Extra Magic Hour parks - Disney has 33,000 hotel rooms and that is just too many people being pointed in the same direction at the same time.

We went last year. We packed clothes for hot and cold weather. It ended up being very cold and windy. Sunday-Tuesday was not that bad--but towards Tuesday afternoon it started getting bad. Wed-Friday was horribly crowded. We made it to EPCOT 1 hour after opening and got the last fast passes for Soarin and it was for a return time of 9:00. Needless to say we did not ride it that day. Thanksgiving day at MK reminded me of 4th of July there---very crowded and hard to move around. Make sure that you have all of your ADR's already. We saw many people turned away for their TG meal--they never thought it would be a problem of being seated--there were a lot of angry people over this. HTH

Tip: Check the weather forecast before you leave. Like a previous poster stated, last year during Thanksgiving week it was cold for Florida. I re-packed the night before we left:eek:

...and don't forget that you can do T'giving Day at your own family pace. If you want to sleep in at the resort, do a leisurely breakfast there and catch some pool time, do so:thumbsup2 You then hit the parks less frazzled and you can always pick up counter service at odd/inbetweenmeal hours. We do the parks in the summer and find that when our mornings are relaxed, our entire day feels much less "scheduled":woohoo: Definitely look up the times of the parades and park evening events so you can catch them. Last but not least, ENJOY your family time together--be thankful for health, each other, and your ability to be at WDW:love:
