I only had 4 days of vacation available so we were leaving Monday evening and driving through the night and hoping to drive nearly straight through, with a possible 4-5 hours stop at a cheap hotel. Well this morning at work my boss just told me to take Monday off...now I have so many tough decisions to think out in short order. The earliest possible we could leave is Sunday mid morning, our Disney reservation starts Tuesday. We could leave Sunday, drive half Sunday/half Monday and be there early Tuesday. We don't have park tickets planned for Tuesday but fairly in expensive to add but that would add 2 nights of hotel. Or leave super early Monday morning drive most of the way, and then a few hours Tuesday, spend Tuesday relaxing at the hotel.

BTw, it's a 19-20 hr drive

I would leave ASAP Sunday, drive straight through and stay at a DTD resort Monday night. You could swim, shop, relax there until you check in to your Disney resort. We drive straight through a lot though, and it works for us (same length of drive).

Sounds like a winner. :thumbsup2
But what do I know :confused3 , our drive is only a mere 11 hours + the hour time zone change doesn't help. We usually leave around 3 in the morning. The drive down is never to bad it's the drive home that's a killer. :crazy2:
