When we went to wdw two years ago i was not able to contain my exitement and we told the girls about our disney trip.. just TWO days before the trip.. As a disney world fan and commando planner. this was no easy feat... this time I want to be able to feel the girls exitement along with my own.. soooo this is what we are doing.

They know we are going. We told them. "Girls. We are going to Disney World... sometime between tommorow and when school lets out in May."

Actually we are going March 14... but they will not know that until my husband walks in from work that day and we are on our way.

Seems a little sadistic? YES. and I love it. I can get them as wound up as I am... and then say... ohhhh man I wonder when we are going????

I love being the Mommy.

Where are they? Bring those girls over by the computer, I want to tell them NOW!! I love the excitement.

About thirty days prior to our trips, we start counting down the days. I have made a calendar for this purpose, each day we take a Mickey off and we are one day closer. SO exciting.

Have a fun time.

Oh they are exited. The trip is all we really talk about. Especially since my younger sister who has never been is coming with is this trip. I think they sense that it isnt tooo far away.. maybe the level of my planning.. whatever.

They are delerious. and silly and EXITED. thats why we told them we were going .. just not WHEN. I keep teasing them... "hmmmm I wonder if TODAY is the day????"

I'll tell my dd, 11, at the 90 day mark I think. She loves the excitement of planning and looking forward to the trip. But is sure is hard keeping my big ole mouth closed until then. I've had this trip for just the two of us planned since Oct!!! We go in June so she'll be told in late March.

Your funny, I COULDN'T keep it a secret from my boys even if I tried really hard. LOL I am so excited about it myself they would be able to tell in a heartbeat!!

I have them counting down the days with me, even have my nieces counting down the days!!!

YIPEEEEE

have fun and enjoy your trip!!

We did the same thing for our past trip. We told our son (5) that were going sometime between the beginning of school and Thanksgiving. He has been to Disney 5 times, and I have to say this was by far the best!!!! We had him wake up and get dressed for school. Then when it was almost time to go to the bus stop we told him that my DH was off for ten days. He thought about it for a second and then it all clicked!!! You have never seen such excitement! It almost killed me not telling him b/c we always have fun planning, but this really was so much better!!!

Good luck keeping your secret! It really will be worth it!

DH and I decided to surprise our 3 kids. (this will be their 2nd trip). We decided a few weeks ago that we were going to WDW to make good use of our APs. (it's almost like having free admission to the parks since the APs were paid for several months ago!) Anyway, we decided not to tell them until the day we have to wake them up to head to the airport. We're going to say, "Wake up, wanna go to Disney World?" I hope they just lose it with excitement. Hopefully DH and I can keep the secret. We've almost blown it a few times. We're too excited!! :Pinkbounc :earboy2: :Pinkbounc

We count "wake ups" How many more wake ups? 20 next morning how many more wake ups? and so on. Maybe next time we'll SAY it's 20 when its 10! It is good being Mommy. hehehe
