So we are DEFINITELY going to Disneyland now in June! I reserved the Hojo's entertainment book rate for the dual double bed room at $59/night+ tax.

BTW, for anybody who's interested, the total including tax is for about $207. That is A REALLY AWESOME PRICE for Southern CA.

Our tentative itinerary is as follows (in case anybody's interested):
  • Tues 6/5 - make the 7 hour trek from Tucson to Anaheim by car. Stop a million times to empty the bladders of 4 & 6 yr old little girls.
  • Wed 6/8-Fri 6/9 - go to DISNEYLAND!!!
  • Wed 6/8 - we'll have an appointment at Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique. I am saving $$ by bringing YDD's halloween costume. Am going to look for a deal online prior to June for a pink princess dress for ODD.
  • Fri 6/8 - check out of Hojo's. Go for last day at D-land. Spend the night at friend's house in Riverside.
  • Sat 6/9 or Sun 6/10 - drive back to AZ, probably via San Diego

I am SO EXCITED! My friend is a season pass holder and we're going to meet her there. Have decided not to risk using SoCal resident tickets because I don't want to end up paying full price if there's a problem. So we'll probably go the AAA discounted tickets (will get them inside a local AAA office).

We are NOT telling our kids that we're doing this. It is going to be a total surprise. I cannot wait to see their faces when we tell them!

:) So happy for you, thanks for sharing your excitement on the boards!! You will really love surprising your kids, and I am so glad you got Hojo's reserved. ER is so awesome, isn't it??

Have a great trip, and enjoy browsing the boards while you count down your days before the trip!

How exciting! Make sure you take video when you reveal to your kiddos the big surprise. We've done that and we love to watch their reaction time and time again.

Hope you have a wonderful trip. :goodvibes

BTW - check ebay for costumes. You might find a good deal.

Yay! June is just around the corner, and will be here before you know it. I'm glad that you were able to book rooms with the Ent Rate, those prices are really great! Your kids will have a VERY nice surprise :thumbsup2 If there is anything else we can help you with please feel free to give our in-house reservations team a call, at (714) 776-6120, or email them at stay@hojoanaheim.com and we will be happy to help. :)

I should have asked if there was an ent. rate.. shoot..... but we got the AP discount :)

I just booked 7 days at the HOJO for the last week of November. We are really excited to starting planning our trip. We can't wait to get back and experience the magic!

We are going in July but have yet to book..staying at HoJo too. Did you have to call to get the ent rate? Online it was showing $143 for a room which was the same. Maybe I wasn't looking at something correctly?

So far, Hojo's hasn't released any retro/entertainment rates for July--and they may not since that is a very busy month.

Here is the board that lists all of the retro/ENT rates:

What a bummer for you!! For my may trip, somebody recommend me to book the kids suite asap, so I took his advice and booked it since last month! It was a really good advice, we're 5 so the kid's suite is a must!
Good luck to you!:wizard:

I've booked us at Hojo in March...also for a surprise trip for my kiddo.

Can't wait! He will flip when he see's the pool area...let alone DISNEYLAND!

Why don't you call back and ask if they have a retro rate. Won't hurt to ask.

Today, for the last week in March, Entertainment rate was 118 for 2 double beds. That was a little cheaper than the AAA rate.

The full ent. rate is 50% off the usual rate. For a standard room with 2 double beds it is $59, so 50% off what you have mentioned. This is the rate that people are usually referring to when the ent. rate is mentioned. It is an amazing rate. :) ( Unfortunately, according to the Hojo website, there are no rooms available at the ent. rate (50% off) in March.) :)
