We are back - Just like we dreamed it

We are back from a great trip from 5th June - 11th June. It will take a while to post pictures and to write a trip report but here a short summary:

We stayed
1 night Holiday Inn
4 nights HNY (we got the same room like in Januray 2006!)
1 night in Holiday Inn

We had a great view from our hotel room:



I know many of you say it is not worth to spend a lot of money for the Disney Hotels, but for us the hotels are a big part of the holiday. That's why we like to spend some € for a great hotel/view. And as the park closes at 19:00 during the week we had some hours every evening to spent in our hotel room.

We spent one day in Paris and 4 and 1/2 days at the resort.
The weather was OK, but could have been better though.
Crush Coaster is great, great, great. And it is a real coster! You should keep this in mind. My DBF who has no problem riding BTM or SM2 said he could do Crush Coaster not more than one time every day!
The new Parade is great.

Glad you had a great time. Personally, I like to stay at the HI and go to DLP more often, or WDW or DL California with the money saved, but if I stay in a Disney Hotel, it's often the New York. If and when DLP starts offering unique experiences in the hotels again, we might stay on site again.

Yes we were very happy. I wrote a fax to the HNY and told them that we had a great trip in Januray 2006 and that we loved the room that we had, and that we would be very happy to ge a smiliar room. And we get the same room again. But this time it was not an upgrade we paid for the lake view room.

@ Bexx It was room 7216

@ Ghasfura It was scary for him because it was fast (like BTM) and it was turning constantly. After a very quite beginning with a lot of cool blacklight and 3D effects (like Snow White or Peter Pan) you get into the "stream" and then your turtle starts turning until the end of the ride. And you never know to which side you will turn next. It can go to the left or to the right side or again to the left side.
And there is another big difference to BTM - during some parts the rail makes a bend (but no looping!!!) and so you face the bottom and the top of the hall for some moments. (If you understand what I mean. This is very hard for me to explain with English not as first language!) That is also the reason why there is so much discussion about the hight restriction. During this part little children could fall out of the turtle!

The slow part of the ride is 30% and the fast part is 70%. I hope this helps.

But nevertheless Crush Coaster is great great great! The slow part is very cool done. Typically Disney. And the Coaster part is a very cool coaster.
Go on the ride is is worth it but afterwards you could feel a little vertiginous.

dont go on it
go on it several hours after a meal (and close my eyes during the fast parts ;-)
or take a vertigo tablet b 4!!!
