We are back and love BLT

We just returned yesterday from our 8 night first time home stay at BLT. We had a Lake View 1 bedroom on the 8th floor (7834). We loved our villa and thought BLT was beautiful. Transportaton was a breeze and the monorail saved us so much time.

There was minor wear in the room such as the table and a bit of bubbled paint in the bathroom. The couch did have a few stains on the arm but realy nothing serious at all. The room was beautiful. We only had one complaint and that was that Bay Cove Pool was completely in the shade by 1:00pm. I think it is due to the design of BLT. We ended up using the pool at the Contemporary and that was great. It was very easy to get over to the concourse at Contemporary for food and monorail servce. We has a geat stay and are so glad to call BLT home.

So glad to hear that you had a great time. My wife and I will be staying at BLT at the end of the year. It will be our first time staying there as we are new to DVC. We did go by and check it out taking pictures and such while we were there on vacation back in December. Can't wait for December to come back around again.

I think having the pool in the shade was on purpose since most of the time it's really hot out and being in the shade is oh so nice. But at this time of the year I think I would want some sun as well.

As s resident in florida I can verify that when the summer comes it will be WONDERFUL to have shade at 1pm!

I doubt if it was on purpose, but i like the options this presents in VERY hot weather. If you want to hang out at the pool and enjoy the cooler shade, stay at the BLT pool. If you are 'sun' person, just stroll over to the Comtemporary pool. I'm not sure, but I'm assuming that pool gets sun all the time???

As s resident in florida I can verify that when the summer comes it will be WONDERFUL to have shade at 1pm!

It's also WONDERFUL if you are blond hair/blue eyes and EXTREMELY fair skinned. I'm finally able to use a pool in the middle of the day without having to slather on an inch thick layer of SPF 200.
