We are approved to adopt a dog!

We just had our home visit. Our fence/yard is fine.

We are adopting a 6 yr old mini aussie male named Skye.

We met him last week and fell in love with him.

Hopefully, we will get him this weekend. He is 2 hours away or I would go pick him up right now.

The volunteer told us that we are the family that he has been waiting for for 3 years.
He normally does not like men or kids, but would not leave may Dh or DS-11 or DD-9 alone. He wanted to lay on their laps and snuggle with them.

He got along great with our 1 yr. mini Aussie Female.

We can't wait for him to come home.

We adopted him through a rescue group for German short hair pointers.

I saw his pic and knew immediately that he was destined too be our dog.
I thought that I would have to convince my DH to get another dog.
He thought it was a great idea.

I volunteer with an all breeds doggie rescue, and keep fosters dogs at my house until adopted. My last foster just went to her forever home yesterday, she was a 7-8 yr old Golden mix, with a few medical problems, but the new family was AOK with it all..

I love when the dogs and the families match up..it is so AWESOME
