I´m so excited. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
We have been discussing adding a dog to our family for years. :paw:
However we didn´t want to do it while we lived in Denmark, since it is really complicated to import animals to Iceland. They have to stay in quarantine for 6 weeks, and are very miserable when they return to their owners. :guilty:
But now we have settled in back here in Iceland and we´re ready!!!

We have been waiting for the perfect labrador puppies to come along and yesterday we found them. :dog2: :dog2: :dog2:
They are stationed very far away (like 8 hours by car) so we haven´t seen them yet, but we have been told by respected breeders that this a very good breeder with excelent puppies. She is a black Labrador Retriever, ready to leave home sometime around christmas. Well recieve pics soon and I can´t wait to post them here. The breeder has promised that we get her if we want her. What do you think???

Just had to tell you. I´m soooo excited and trying not to get the kids to hyped about something not yet 100% sure.

So if anyone has puppy pics.....Can´t wait to seem them :flower:

Congratulations!

If you've never had a puppy before, you're in for a lot of work, but it's all worth it! Make sure that you are prepared for all that having a puppy/dog entails, if you have any questions, ask friends with dogs or a vet (or post here on the DIS).

I´ve never had a puppy before but fortunately DH has. I´ve been doing a lot of reading in the past few months and fortunately we have friends with dogs. I´m sure that the first few months will be challenging at times but can´t wait to go through them.

You should be fine, then! And labs are great dogs, my Missy is half black lab, half border collie. She acts more like a collie, but I thank God for the lab part of her, it conteracts the "collie" just enough to keep her from being completely crazy (she's just mostly crazy!). :dog:

:flower: :flower: :flower: Congratulations! :flower: :flower:
I know just how you feel we could'nt wait to get our baby home!

We are getting a lab too....I just picked her out yesterday. She is Chocolate and soooooooo very cute. she is a Christmas present for my kids but I just can't wait that long to get her so Santa is going to have to drop her off early since she keeps chewing on all his toys and stuff.

The day that I brought Dora home (my Pug...in the pic) was the best day of my life! It is challenging training a new pup, but you soon forget all about those days and just enjoy your new best friend! They will love you no matter what, and give you lots of kisses! Good Luck, and post lots of pics when you get some!!!

Congrats...take lots of pics in 6 months he will be close to full grown...

First few days may be tough, he may cry a lot, at nights etc...

Try not to spoil him too much or he'll always want someone with him and will cry if no one is.

:paw: Congratulations! You are going to love being a puppy mom! All the work is worth it. The unconditional love is amazing!

Congrats! I can't wait to retire so I can get a puppy!! :dog: :dog:
