Maybe a Phillies - Jets game.

Since I'm originally from New York, we are a Jets household. But now that I'm an hour from Phillie, I guess we might root for the Eagles as well.

Hey did everyone do their draft picks yet. I have to set mine up.

I can't wait for Bob the Bachelor. I love him. He is soo funny.

These shows are so ridiculous, but they are kind of fun to watch.

You mean the Eagles?? If the Jets played the Eagles, they'd get beat for sure. Bet you're bummed that Chad's out for a while. We'll have to have a little side bet on the Eagles/Jets game

DUH - yes I meant Eagles.

Yea, we're a little bummed about Chad. I liked the kid. Thought he did pretty well there for a while last year and then kind of choked going towards the end.

We don't like Vinnie too much, but my girlfriend is a surgical nurse for the docs that treat the jets and she worked on his achilles problem a while back. Said he had the nicest "rear end" she'd seen among all the players.

Who's BILLY!!!???? I was head over heels for Scotty Stapp even before I knew what he looked like, once I heard that voice I was instantly madly in love (well as much as you can be with someone you've never met ). When I saw him............ wow.

Hey OT - is Julia smart enough to know that you couldn’t catch a refrigerator if you dropped it off of a 5-storey building? Or would you have to tell her that???

Anyway....we all know that Han and Chewie play a significant role in the destruction of the Empire, but it was strictly by chance - they just happened to be docked in Mos Eisley when ObiWan and Luke needed transport to Alderan. But don't you think it would be nice if they showed the Wookie race somehow in these earlier episodes, like a Wookie representative in the Senate or something? Heck, they could even have had a couple of Wookies chowing down in the diner in Ep1. And Han is 30ish when we first meet him, which means he's probably about the same age as Boba Fett. If Jabba appears in Ep3, maybe they could show a young Han do some smuggling for him.

Actually, there are some Wookie senators glimpsed in Ep1 - and Chewie will be in Ep3. And Han doesn't start working for Jabba until he's in his 20's, shortly after he's kicked out of the Imperial Academy for freeing a Wookie slave.

No sh....kidding? I'll have to look for them in the senate scenes. The problem is, there's only like a bazillion little pods full of reps in those scenes.

Damn, I was afraid of that....Han doesn't hook up with Jabba until he's older. Oh well, so much for a young Han showing up. But Chewie is in Ep3??!! How cool! I always knew he had some heroics in his past when Jabba referred to him as "the mighty Chewbacca".

Whoa...Han was in the Academy?? How about a Cliff Notes version of this Wookie slave thing??

For the record - I only answer the questions I'm asked.

Han grows up an orphan aboard a smuggling ship, and is mostly raised by a female Wookie who is also the cook. Afer Han leaves the smuggling ship, he joins the academy and quickly becomes their top pilot. But one day he sees a Wookie slave being mistreated, and he beats up the two gurads doing it and frees the Wookie. Han is dishonorably discharged and takes up residence in a local bar. The Wookie he saved has pledged a 'Life Debt" to him, and won't leave - ever. Finally Han gives in and realizes having a Wookie for a friend is a good thing - the two take up smuggling and the rest is Galacitc History. The whole thing is covered in A.C. Crispens' "Han Solo Adventures" trilogy of books -- which were very well written and lead immediately up to the events that take place in the Mos Eisley Cantina. She also explains why Han has "a lot of nerve" going to Cloud City "after what [he] pulled" with Lando. The whole 'Academy/freeing the Wookie' story was actually always a part of Han Solo's back story - she just fleashes it out and ties together several other stories that have been written about everyone's favorite Scoundrel.
