Who - Me (WDWLVR) and DH (MarkRG on the DIS). Very experienced WDW veterans. First and only trip to the World this year.

Day 5 - our last full day here :( Well there is still so much to be done so we get another early start. We are heading off to 'Ohanas for breakfest this morning. When we get to the monorail platform we see that Monorail Green is waiting. What a perfect opportunity for a picture. You see monorailgreen is the name of our very humble web site:D We ask the platform worker if he would take our picture with the monorail and tell him why - he then invites us to ride up front! We didn't even have to ask. After a fun ride between the Contemporary and the Poly we are escorted into 'Ohanas and to the same great table we had the night before (guess they don't have a lot of tables for 2).

Breakfast is wonderful and lots of fun interaction with the characters. After breakfast we head out to the bus stop for a ride over to Animal Kingdom. Got there just as the gates were opening, a short wait by the tree of life and then over to the safari. Here's vent #1 of the day - why must people with strollers by so pushy in line. I'm not talking on the way over when everyone is trying to get there - I mean once we are already in the rope line. I had this push woman behind me who clipped by heels 3 times and never said a word - just complained to her family that some of the others they were with were up ahead and wouldn't wait. :(

The safari was great and when we went to walk the trails it was nice and empty (very cool day) and a lot of the animals were out. Very nice. We also did the Lion King show which was great as always. Our plan was now to hop over to Animal Kingdom Lodge for a lunch then over to the Mega Mouse Meet at 1pm. Since it was 11:30 when we got to the bus stop you wouldn't think this would be a problem - wrong! Gripe #2 of the day - we waited 40 minutes for a bus from Animal Kingdom to Animal Kingdom Lodge. A woman waiting with us finally went to the dispatch booth after about 25 mintues and was told a bus just left - NOT! Don't know where that bus driver was but when he finally came and got us over to AKL the line was long there as well and the people just as upset. Needless to say we didn't have much time for lunch so we looked around and then headed back out. Our plan was to catch a bus to MGM and then the boat to the Dolphin. Luckily the bus to MGM was empty and waiting.

We made it to the Dolphin a few minutes after 1pm and headed into the meet. Nicely set up with goodie bags, pictures and then a room for the meet and greet. Our first greet was RaySharpton who was acting as a greeter in his lime green DIS shirt. We ran into a number of other DIS'ers during the time we were there as well. We didn't stay very long (maybe 1/2 hour) as DH has a hard time hearing in very large/noisy crowds. On our way out we met up with even more DIS'ers including Sue Holland and Shontell Crawford both of whom we sailed with on the DVC Member Cruise. Had a great visit with Shontell and were invited to her wine and cheese party the next night - but alas we would be gone by then :( Still on the way out we met up with Mary (iluvdisney) and her DH. We also sailed with them on the Member Cruise so we stopped and chatted with them for a while as well. Since it was now almost 2pm we decided to head over to Epcot via the Boardwalk and get something to eat.

Stopped at the Hot Dog stand on Boardwalk and had an ejoyable late lunch by the lake. Then we caught the Friendship over to Epcot. Walked through World Showcase picking up a few things, then out to the monorail.

We rested in the room for a little while and then headed out to Magic Kingdom for our dinner reservations at Crystal Palace. This was our first time here and we liked it a lot. Definately fun and good food too! Did the Haunted Mansion and one last visit to Mickey's PhilharMagic. It was time for the parade now and we were both a little too cold to wait through the parade for the fireworks so we headed back to the room.

I started packing up and we got to see WISHES one last time. Since this wasn't a MVMCP night we noticed that WISHES was a little different and didn't have the fireworks over the lake like the previous nights. Still a great show!

Day 6 - packed and ready to go we are chilling in the room waiting for our TownCar appointment. The phone rings and the voice at the other end asks how I'm enjoying WDW (and calls me by name). Not sure who it is at first and I'm thinking its the Towncar driver. The gentleman than says that since I've had lunch with his wife and daughter would we like to have coffee with him. It's gaRry (aka wdwgoose) who we are sailing with in Dec. 2004! What a wonderful surprise. We only got to spend about 15 minutes with him in the lobby as our car came right on time but it was great to see him!

An uneventful flight home and we are back to reality. It was a great trip!

Highlights - the parks and resorts at Christmas time - not to be missed. Getting to meet so many DIS'ers - what a fun group of people. We didn't take part in lots of the meets but really enjoyed the ones we did. Getting to spend time at WDW with the man I love - special memories every time.

Lowlights - the bus service from AK to AKL - yuck! Some servers who were very lacking in service. Pushy moms with strollers.

As with all WDW vacations the highlights far outweighed the lowlights.

That's all folks - thanks for reading and may you soon be on your way to making memories at WDW!
