My S did the CP-QSFB in 2011, he's thinking about applying to work on a Disney Cruise.
What are the roles like?
What are the cruises like?
He is assigned to particular trip? Can he state a preference?

It depends on the role but basically expect to work 10+ hour days the entire length of your contract, no days off. It's hard work but can be rewarding.

teeny-tiny shared living quarters. size of a walk-in closet at best.

no time off, for months on end (contracts in the beginning run for like 6-9 months on, 1-3 months off, then you start a new contract).

I know I'm going to be judged for saying this, but there's a reason you don't see many Americans working on cruise ships.
