WDW @ Xmas

Can someone tell me what it is like @ xmas time? We just bought into DVC and are looking at going the week of Dec 18 (Sun) - ??? haven't decided when I want to leave. But how's that week look? Is it really crowded tht week or do the crowds not show up until after xmas? WHat about activities? Parades, storytelling etc... I wanna know it all including weather. Can someone please share their experiences with me.

This will be our first Xmas trip to WDW, we will be there the 17th -24th at POP.When I made the reservations the CM told me it should be a good week, she said the 23rd and 24th the crowds will be the heaviest the days before should be fairly uncrowded.We have been twice in June and both of those trips the crowds were pretty big over an hour wait at most attractions. We are hoping even if the crowds are big the cooler weather and Christmas magic will make up for it.
