DD will be 15 months old for our next trip and I've been wondering what she's likely to get out of it.

I'd love to hear about others' experiences. Which things did your DC enjoy? Any tips?

Thanks!

I very specifically remember us being at Downtown Disney w/ our DD at that age and she was dancing to the band that plays on the stage down there in the summer time. Then we went and ran barefoot through the pop up interactive water area. My daughter was exhausted and we still have that picture of her, soaking wet and pooped out sitting on the brick wall, on our fridge. She is 5 now. That is one of my fondest Disney memories.

We took our 1 year old and the things he liked the best were: donald's boat(especially liked water fountains here), acrobats at epcot(china), parades, fireworks and actually we took him on every ride possible and he enjoyed them all. I think he really liked to be able to get out of the stroller so any little play areas will be loved. have fun!pixiedust:

It's funny we were just remembering our oldest ds's first trip when he was 16months old. It was precious. We had played the vacation planning video repeatedly for him so the characters would be familiar. As a result, he walked right up to Mickey and loved all of the characters. (Memories I wouldn't trade for anything-I still choke up :goodvibes ). I remember my dh waiting 45 minutes in line for Dumbo and then he cried when he got on it. He loved the lights from the parade and the simple things-like the birds on the ground. It was truly magical. pixiedust:

My girls loved character meals at that age, and they are free under age 3 so it's a pretty good deal. We also went on every ride without a height restriction. Let's see, what else. They loved to get out of the stroller and walk around and our favorite area to "let them go" was in the Epcot resort area during the middle of the day and there would be little to no people walking around. We'd go through the International Gateway and let them walk as far as they wanted to and then we'd stroll to the Boardwalk for ice cream. Something we did for ourselves was when the twins would fall asleep in the stroller, DH and I would have a nice sit-down meal. The restaurants would let us take the stroller right to our table. Very relaxing. We have really fond memories of being in WDW when our girls were that age.

My oldest was 15 mo when we took her the first time.

She was (and still is at almost 6) a very social girl & not shy at all.

She pretty much leaped out of our arms to see Pooh (he was the first character we saw) but she wanted nothing to do with the face characters unless I or dh were holding her.

She was pretty verbal too.

One of my friends who was there at the same time her dd wanted nothing to do with the characters & she lives close to WDW.

So each kid is different.

Oh & we took her on all the rides that she could go on & went back to our room for mid-day naps.
