OKAY- I'm really missing the other boards- BUT I love this board and can't get off it, so I'm bringing a little of the other boards to us.
So- What exactly are you looking forward to for your next trip to WDW- after you've lost some weight??? Is it: A better fit into a special ride? Walking around the world without your feet, knees or back killing you? Actually feeling like you could RUN to the next line? Keeping up with the kids and actually not getting tired?Stealing a romantic kiss from your spouse and really feeling romantic because you're thinner? Any thing else??? Please share your dreams with us!

edited to add: AND- When is your next trip?

hopefully seeing a couple of people I see only once a year or so....Wearing my first bathing suit that does not have a skirt or shorts (probably won't wear it anyway) Eating what I want within reason :) Maybe getting a whistle...no such luck, but a girl can always wish...

I guess I still have a ways to go in my "healthy" thinking

Because I'm looking forward to: trying O'Hanas; Kona Kafe; different things at Epcot;Disney Wonder's desserts

I'm also looking forward to walking around in my size 10 comfy shorts and knowing my legs look darn good! Note: not tiny but strong and lean :)

Pushing away my plate when I'm satisfied that I got to try the dishes I've looked forward too. But proud that I didn't stuff it all in because it's there.

Dec 3 - 7 - Poly
Dec 7 - 11 - 4 Day Wonder Cruise

anyone else there too?

Finally lookin' good in our family vacation pictures!! :teeth:

Not being embarrassed when I see photos of myself.

Getting to see glo in a bathing suit :teeth:

Seeing if I'm strong enough to resist high carbohydrate foods, like popcorn (why does it have to smell so good?)

Not having a cm offering to get me a wheel chair because my legs hurt so bad I look like I'm going to fall down when I walk. This actually happened to me last September

Not being embarrassed if I meet DISers I've never met before, not thinking they are shocked at how fat I am :(

Just being there, the smells, the sounds, the magic :)

karebear1 - I agree with you, this has become my favorite board, but to answer your question -

Walking around WS and being outside in the sun, walking down Main St at MK, not having to cook for the whole week, laying out at the quiet pool reading a good book and hanging with my 2 DD's.

Alice

PS A Kir Royal in France, the wine sampler (I have to give 3 away because I can't drink that much) and a Kiwi Margarita in Mexico :D

Next trip, January 2004!

Glo- I'll whistle at you if I'm there at the same time you are! ;)
OK_ I forgot to answer my own question! SO- here it goes.

1.) I want to be able to go to the swimming pool for the first time ever! I know 65 lbs. is not all that I have to lose, but hey! it's 65 lbs. less then I weigh now- and the one good thing about being this heavy is- You truely appreciate it when you are smaller!

2.) Oh- Mom: you're a women after my own heart! I want to go and try every llittle thing I hear is soooo good! Like Dole Whips! While I know they're not one my diet, I still am feeling comfortable with the idea of taking small tastes of the ones I will buy for myself- BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO BE FOR ME!!!!- nad letting my husband have the rest. :p

3.) I'm sooooo looking forward to feeling like I have energy to finish the day.

4.) Wondering if my mom will notice the weight loss and what she'll think!

5.) walkingin the warmth of the sun and NOT dying of the heat! :sunny:

There are many more, but I'll wait to hear from others!

Katholyn- are you REALLY gonns resist all carb foods?!??- WHen do you go?

karebear - definitely the "Walking around the world without your feet, knees or back killing you!" It would be glorious to not feel ancient and sore at the end of the day!

glo - I agree with the skirtless, shortless bathing suit. I can't remember the last time I wore a regular bathing suit (except when I'm using the pool all alone!) What freedom!

ohMom - LOL! I love Kona Cafe. I think it's a very underrated treasure, and the menu includes a variety of fairly diet-friendly foods. Their very decadent desserts, however, might be a problem...:p

Dizneegirl, Amy, and Annie - The pictures! Yes! How lovely it would be to not be frightened every time a camera lens points your way.

Katholyn - I just may have to give you a gentle little cyber-bop on your noggin! I have seen photos of your lovely self, and there is absolutely nothing "shocking" about you!

Karebear1 - Dole Whips, marvelous choice. I can still imagine the wonderful, cold, sweet pineapple swirled with vanilla I savored in March, so good on a hot day in Adventureland. I sat on a bench across from the entrance to Pirates of the Carribbean and enjoyed every cool, delicious bite. Definitely worth the points!

KathyTX- OKAY! You hvae my mouth watering now. Since I can't have it, I'll jsut have to smell it!! I must put my Pina Coloda tarts in tha tart warmer! I'm there with ya girl!!!

Anniet- when are you going in January and where are you staying? We'll be there from the 9th-18th. Staying at AKL, WL, and BCV.

Great post, Karen! I love this board as well! :)

I am looking forward to riding Rock and RollerCoaster with Katholyn in December!!
Singing Karaoke with Mackey Mouse
Meeting Dis'ers I haven't met before! :)

Enjoying myself and not worrying about what I am wearing!!

We are going August 3-12th and then again the first week of December (actual dates are not set yet) :)

I love this thread! Alas, I will not be thin when I take my next WDW trip, as I leave in only three weeks! But, I will be thinner. So, here is my list:

1. Trying the wonderful food, but I will not stuff myself until I am about to pop and then waddle all over the parks. Yuck...there is nothing worse than being too full and then having to walk 10 miles in the Florida heat.

2. Wearing my new swimsuit. I am far from being a bikini babe, but I have decided that I am sick of living my life on the sidelines and waiting until I am "thin enough" to participate in stuff I like to do. So, I have a cute new tankini that has a halter-style top (it covers my tummy) and my DH says I look fab in it. So, there!

3. Having the energy to plow through the parks. Although I have plenty of weight to lose, I am pretty active, and I think my body will be in shape enough to handle all day on my feet.

4. Not having my shorts be so tight that they pinch my waist, and make me feel like a whale!

5. Showing off my nice tan. We recently went to Palm Springs so my legs will look nice and bronze in my shorts.

6. Feeling carefree, and happy to be at WDW with my wonderful family!

Next Trip: 5/7-5/14, AKL

Looking forward to be able to walk around without being so tired from carrying all this extra weight!

We'll be in the area 5/8 to 5/16, but not much time at WDW, because we're HOUSE HUNTING!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Anybody want to set up a WISH DIS MEET???? We'd have to meet outside the parks, or maybe at a water park, but I'm sure we can figure something out if anyone is interested.

Now before you think I'm going to fall off the wagon- let me explain....EVERY trip I've ever taken to Disneyworld- of course almost every meal is NOT prepared by ME! I have three wonderful children and an out of this world husband- but I do have to fix 3 meals a day for these dependents (dh actually makes his own PBJ and breakfast- thank you honey!) and I do ALL the shopping with 3 kids with me each grocery stop. We homeschool so my kids are with me a good deal of the time- 98% of it :) I wouldn't trade it for the world but looking forward to having meals prepared for ME is kind of dreamy.
Also I always lose weight going to Disney because I walk my tail off and eat whatever I want and I don't have to buy, prepare, or fix it. And my favorite ride is Splash Mountain- and I'm so looking forward to Tower of Terror and Fast Track- never could ride those I was pregnant on former trips or had little baby to breast feed! :) So this time I'm happy to be taking our (by then 4,5,8) kids and having a great time- the lost weight will just mean that much more energy.
Going 9/17 and trying to decide between Poly, BC, BWI- but it'll ultimately come down to which one we get the greatest discount on. They all look great!
Thanks for the motivation guys!
Tara

..I will have lost enough weight so that when we go to Discovery cove,it won't feel like animal abuse when the dolphin tows me to shore!!!!!!:p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :Pinkbounc

Well our next trip is scheduled for right after Thanksgiving and while I hope to be around 200 which is a lot of weight lost for me I will still be pretty big. My biggest concern is pictures. In 4 trips to WDW there are hardly any pictures of me. There are also hardly any pictures of DS and me together because I hate the way I look so much I won't let them be taken if I can help it. :( This will be DS's first trip to WDW and I really want to be in the pictures with him some. I hope that while I will still be big that I will be looking better enough to feel more comfortable with that darn camera.

I am looking forward to wearing tank tops and being proud of my arms instead of hiding them under some sleeves!

I am looking forward to having all the energy it takes to tour a park and then hop to another one!

I am looking forward to enjoying my favorite treats without feeling guilty for eating something that I *shouldn't*. I know with my new attitude and committment to exercise that indulging at WDW is ok, because I will be on my plan for the rest of my life!

I am REALLY looking forward to having my picture taken with Tigger once I reach my goal. I have a picture of me with Tigger from 1999. It's right here next to my PC and I see it all the time. I almost can't believe it's me in the picture, so I really want to look like that again!!! It's my favorite picture!

I'm just looking forward to being there:D :D Wish it was this June instead of next June.

I should be to goal by then, so it will be nice to not always be worrying about what others are thinking when they see me.

I'll also be glad not to be ashamed to be seen in family photos and to feel free to swim anytime with the girls instead of only when there's no one else in the pool.

I don't want to wish my life away, but I can't wait to just be there. I love the Disney Magic.

:) :D
