WDW Wedding Venue - Sand, Castle view, 20+ guests?

Hello!

I am looking to find a back-up location (we are planning the dream Castle wedding, but not so sure if it is realistically in the budget) for a DFTW ceremony. Ideally, we would like somewhere we can have toes in sand, castle in the background, and hold 20-25 guests for the ceremony. Bonus if we can have the reception there/nearby, but not necessary.

I know there was one beach location that could only hold up to 8 guests, and that Shipwreck Beach, even though it is beautiful, doesn't have the castle view.

Does anyone have an idea? Does such a location even exist?

Thanks so much!

Such a location does not exist sorry.

The 3 beach locations are at the Beach Club so no Castle View, at the Swan so no Castle view, or at the Poly and that's restricted numbers.

That is exactly what I had found too -- thanks so much for taking the time to respond :flower3:

Disney has been known to offer Luau Beach (the stretch between the Polynesian and the Wedding Pavilion) to Wishes brides. Just be aware that it is right by the walkway, so not very private. Few people use the path during the day, but the ones who do will be going right by your ceremony.

Ah! You are my hero!! I had stumbled upon pictures of Luau Beach, but was never sure if it would accommodate that many guests. Not very concerned about being by a walkway, so that might be just perfect! Thank you so so much :D When we go down to Disney next we will be sure to stop by there and take a look. We are dreaming of a Castle wedding, and though I think it is do-able, I want to make sure we have a happy back-up location just in case money becomes a problem. This is it!

Thanks again! :beach:

Is it the other side that they used to do beach weddings that they stopped?

Right, they used to do them between the WP and the GF, but now that pesky DVC resort they're building is in the way! :teeth:

We were offered Luau Beach for our wedding, at the time we thought we were having 100 guests. I think Luau Beach is much more private than Shipwreck Beach(where we ended up being married with 75 guests). DFTW initially told us they weren't offering beach locations at all, but changed their tune at our planning session. Good luck!

Great to know it will be plenty large enough for our guests :D Adding it to our must-see list, thanks!
