You're lucky, he's lucky, I'm lucky, we're all lucky! ha ha ha...

psstt...hey did anyone else see Access Hollywood tonight? They did a bit on the POC movie that's coming out in July - it looks REALLY cool...hummm....wonder if they need our *expertise* about the water that have to use for the film?!?

I didn't see Access Hollywood but everyting else I have seen looks cool so far.

I am actually looking forward to the POC movie...unlike the Country Bears (which I avoided)...at least that movie looks like it could have some sort of a plot....fingers crossed....

"I'm glad we caught you at home. Can we use your phone?
(CASTLES DON'T HAVE PHONES A__HOLE!)
We'll just say where we are, and go back to the car...we don't want to be any worry!"

Well you got caught with a flat. Well, how 'bout that. Well babies, don't you... panic.

Don't get strung out by the way I look, don't judge a book by it's cover.

The river was deep but I swam it. __________(fill in the blank)

Higgs - I think that the HM movie might have a plot also (yeah I skipped Country Bears for the same reason) I mean scary/Disney/Eddie Murphy - can't be THAT bad...

The river was deep, but I swam it…

There’s a fire in my heart, and you fan it!

If there’s one fool for you, than I am it.

Oh J-A-N-E-T I love you sooooo……

Madonna…I don’t know…the HM movie kinda has me worried…Eddie Murphy is funny…but once again…not sure where the plot is…but time will tell!

You know, I thought that the person I saw playing Brad a couple of weeks ago at the midnight showing looked familiar ... it was Higgs, wasn't it??

I would prefer a non-comedy for an HM movie. It doesn't have to be serious, just not a total comedy. I look at Eddie Murphy and I see TOTAL comedy and parody. I think they'd be better off just picking a lesser known or unknown cast. Eddie has too much "baggage" attached to him from other roles.

Where is there info online about these movies?

Country Bears really sucked by the way. I'm trying to think what other attractions could have movies (non-animated). Alien Encounter for sure, Jungle Cruise too. They could do a better movie tie-in to Countdown to Extinction/Dinosaur. BTMRR might work.

I'm not thrilled over the idea of any of these movies. I don't like the thought of movies based on attractions. It should be the other way around.

Good point. Instead of trying to make money off of successful attractions and possibly ruining it with a lousy movie, maybe they should give us more attractions based on good movies.

Ok someone in Walt Disney Company hire Jas please.

OT, too bad they have a hiring freeze right now. :( I think I would be a perfect fit. :D

I agree with Jas's point. I think movies based on attractions sort of take away the "magic" and "mystique" of the attraction because, via the movie, you can experience the attraction anytime. Otherwise, it's a magical thing only experienced at the parks themselves or through your own home videos. It's a financial and sentimental reason.

Basing a movie on an attraction or an attraction on a movie in my opinion is a no win situation. The best part of Disney attractions are the images created in riders mind. I can not tell you how the simplest of attraction are my favorite because of the images they leave me with, images I created. My wife has opened my eyes to the World of Disney, she told me all about the attractions and what to expect, she painted her picture. However, her picture was interpreted differently by me that when I got to experience the attraction, it was everything that she said it would be and more. Bringing an attraction to life on the big screen can be scary. I can just tell see telling some of my thirty-something buddies that they have to go see the Country Bears when at WDW, they would think that I was off my rocker thanks to the movie.

I dunno but Disney has succeeded in basing attractions on movies. The Flight of Peter Pan is one of my favorites. How many kids first think of Dumbo when you mention Walt Disney World (or adults for that matter). Out of the two, this is the better way. Not the other way around. I think these movies are a really, really bad idea.

Yes AP BS, I agree that it takes some of the "magic" away.

Jas - I think that basing an attraction on a movie use to work WAY better for stuff like Peter Pan...and Splash Mountain, but now-a-days...I don't know after the HUGE success of the movie and endless possibilities the story provided Disney, they came up with *The Magic Carpets* for Aladdin?!? Aladdin is a personal favourite - I can NOT belive that is what they did with it!

BTW - am I the only one who didn't mind the Tower of Terror movie?!?

Okay but how about an inverted coaster based on the "doors" scene in Monster, Inc.? We can dream, can't we?

I love the inverted Monsters Inc. coaster idea!!
But I also have to agree with Madonna….an Aladdin spinner is not the best idea…who doesn’t watch the scene in the movie where Aladdin is riding the carpet out of the Cave of Wonders while it collapses around him and doesn’t think "now that would be a great ride."
BTW…I also think they need a Bambi attraction…and I think it could easily be rethemed into the Froniterland Shootin’ Gallery…oh the possibilities…:D

Of course the stupid Aladdin ride is stupid. That's not what I am talking about. I can't help it if they are holding back the purse strings. What I WAS SAYING was that movies based on popular attractions are a VERY BAD IDEA. That a GOOD IDEA would be to base decent attraction on successful movies. But what do I know? Eisner's the one with the money and stock options.
