Although that would be great to see for hockey in Canada and in the province of Manitoba, we both know that the chances of that are pretty slim.

Actually J, the city of Hamilton (in Ontario about 45 minutes from Niagara Falls) should have an NHL team but every time the discussion of expansion comes up they are always squashed by the Sabers. Talk about a hard luck hockey town that would make it in the NHL with a huge fan base.

I hadn't realised that Hamilton was such a huge area. Occasionally in the past I have been able to get Cmhl (is that right ?) on the a.m. dial when the Bulldogs are playing.

The city of Hamilton is a steel town like Pittsburgh is. They have a loyal following and love their hockey. The Sabers estimate that 35-40% of their ticket sales come from Canadian sales. The drive to Buffalo is a lot closer than the drive to Toronto for a lot of Southern Ontario cities. Actually, speaking of Buffalo, does Ted Nolan deserve another job in the NHL or is he black balled for life?
