Day 5 Saturday 3/13
It's always sad when you wake up and you've passed the 1/2 way point of your trip. For me it was bitter sweet. I really didn't want to stay on this trip much longer. But, I truly LOVE Disney and didn't want to leave either.
Today we had to be up early. I had booked DH for the Richard Petty Rookie Expierence. He has done some amatuer night racing at our local track w/ street cars. He follows Nascar each week, so I knew he'd get a kick out of this. I booked it, then suprised him at home w/ it shortly before we left.
He was so excited. DS and I were gonna go to the track w/ him to watch. MIL didn't want to get up and go so she stayed back at the hotel. We had to be there at 7:30 am for an 8:00 class/check-in. There were A LOT of people doing this. I think the "class" was pretty full. Anyhow-- we were there until shortly after noon.
DH really enjoyed this and I had one of those warm fuzzy moments because I truly enjoyed getting this for him (I had gotten a bonus at work and that was why he got it). Anyhow today was shaping up to be pretty warm. So we went back to the hotel and I needed to do laundry. DH was beat and fell asleep. I decided to let him nap and DS and I took care of the laundry. In the interim I called home to talk to my sister. I needed to vent. She made me feel better. Only thing was-- at some point DH woke up and heard 1/4 of my venting. He was alittle nippy w/ me, but let it go. His mom was still laying down (actually it was now almost 3pm-- and she still was in bed from last night). We decided to go swimming. There was a family at the pool that had a baby with them (about 10-11 months old). Anyhow the family consisted of a lot of women and a lot of kids. The kids were all under 10. In noticed though they had a radio and a cooler full of beer. The women were dancing around in their bikini's (which not a one should of been wearing a bikini) while the 8-10 yr olds were taking care of the baby. They were really trashy. I was ready to leave, but DS had his heart set on swimming. Anyhow, they proceeded to strip the baby nude and let him swim around w/ the older kids. Now--he needed one of those swim diapers on. We don't want to swim in his waste!!! I told DS it was time to go then. As we were drying off-- the baby-- who was now sitting on the edge of the pool proceeded to move his bowels on the concrete. The women were getting the biggest kick out of this. It was so disgusting!!!! We didn't use the pool again!! I wanted to report this to management but didn't. They really came off as the type who could of cared less.
Anyhow, back at the room DH asks me if I we could try the Golden Corral that night. He said is was MIL's request. Each time her name was mentioned I had chills and was stressed. I told him whatever-- and we went. This is where "Me the big bad daughter-in-law made her cry"-- in all truth I think she forced it to create bigger problems.................
