We are leaving in 2 days. :) We have a 7 month old and this will be her first trip. Any suggestions? We are bringing our own stroller.

Watch those lower legs! So often parents are careful to cover the upper body of the infant in the stroller and forget about those little legs!!

We took my GN last August when she was 7 months--she had a great time!! She really enjoyed meeting Piglet and Pooh--Mickey was a little scarier. We made sure to keep her hydrated by adding extra water to her bottles. Check out the baby care centers for a good place to cool off, be flexible, take lots of photos, and have fun!!

Our DD was 7 mos on her first trip. We had a great time.

My only advice is to take it slow and easy. We always go back to our hotel mid day for a rest and try to keep our DD's nap schedule.

Definitely make use of the baby care stations in each of the parks.

Been there done that 3 times. DH and I have found that the most fun we've had at Disney is when the weakest link sets the pace.

Be sure to bring a small insulated ice chest for bottles (if you use them). Every time we go on vacation I call my kids doctor an let him know we will be away for a week or more and ask him for medecine in case one of the kids gets sick and vomits. We were at WDW once and everybody got sick the supositories kept them from staying sick.

Have fun and be safe!

Find the Baby Care Facilities in each of the parks. They are wonderful! MK's is near the Crystal Palace, EPCOT is near the old Odessey restaurant (between FW and the countries), I'm not sure where they are in MGM and AK (but they have them to). They are a great place to cool off, feed the baby, changing areas are spotless, they are great!

I just wanted to say thanks for all the suggestions. I am starting to pack. This time tomorrow we will be on the plane. :) I checked the weather and it looks like it is going to be really hot. I hope I can keep enough water in her.

Hi ValerieK - we're practically neighbors (we live in Richmond, VA). My youngest sons first trip to WDW was when he was 9 months old. We had a blast.

A few tips:
1. We took an umbrella that attached to the stroller (can get them at Babies r Us or they had them at the umbrella painting stand right near Cinderella's Castle when we were there). Even though the stroller had a canopy, sometimes the sun would still manage to hit my little guy. With the attached umbrella we could keep all of the sun off of him. This was especially good for when he was napping.

2. As mentioned above - we took at least one break a day & went back to our motel room. This was great for all of us.

3. We would sometimes go to a water park in the morning, to our room around noon, & then to one of the theme parks in the evening when it wasn't as hot.

4. We would freeze juice in bottles & take those into the park. They thawd pretty fast (we were there in June).

5. Some of the 3-D shows frightened my little fellow (particularly the ones with rain or wind blowing on you). We learned this pretty quickly & didn't take him in any more of those shows.

Have a great time!:pinkbounc
