WDW "Vacation A Day" Contest!

I really wish we would hear some stories from the winners. I would like to live vicariously through them. I don't know about all of you, but I am driving my family a little crazy..

"Answer the phone..........it could be Disney" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Too funny!!!

I think I want it so bad because our next trip will be as chaperons for a school event. And we won't be able to do what we want to do. We will be at the will of a bunch of teenagers!

It's fun to dream about winning. We would choose a trip to California because we have been to WDW many times. DH and I visited Disneyland many years ago in 1992.

Where: Disneyland
Stay: Disneyland Hotel or the Grand Californian
When: not sure, maybe April or May

I'd love to stay at a DW Deluxe but the kids and I have never been to Disneyland (husband is from San Diego) and I couldn't pass up the chance to take them to Cars Land.

Where: Disneyland
Stay: Grand Californian (love that they have their own park entrance) or Disneyland Hotel (Monorail themed pool area!)
When : May for youngest's birthday

My DH has to eat at Yachtsman when we go...that's like $250 right there! And my favorite is LTT. ..there's about $150...$500 wouldn't cut it for food for us, but it would help!

Yeah, we aren't big eaters and since we never eat out much at home, even CS is a 'treat' for us :rotfl2:

I got a call from 407 area code :banana: Nope of coarse it wasn't about winning the trip :sad2: It was the Marriott concierge confirming our stay, and tee times in Orlando next month.

We are the same way!!! With 6 of us, $500 is a snack in the park. :lmao: But I'll take it!! Any bit helps, right?!?! ::yes::

Lol! Nice to know we are not alone! Eating lots of yummy meals is is a big part of the fun of our vacation !

I'm cryin . I have entered every day (wife too). I would have been happier just to see others win (than the way it been). I want to win but hoping SOMEONE here wins pixiedust:!

I have had such a debate with myself (and forced my husband to consider) if we would go to DL or WDW. We live in AZ. My kids are 2 and 3, so the idea of flying cross country with them seems like a nightmare- especially for short trip. But we could always add on days, and probably would.... but then it's not quite so "free". And- we lose 2 days of the 5 days just because it takes us a whole day to get there. But..... it also costs us a lot more to get there, so there is more value in the prize.

But, my husband says Disneyland is a lot less stress and would be more fun. He wants to know if we can get a higher gift card if we just drive ourselves. I laughed at that. I'm sure Disney would be thrilled if we drove instead of flew, but they won't pay us to do so!

We are the same way! We like nice long dinners at the signature restaurants with alcohol so $500 is awesome but not enough to cover all our food....but it'll be a big chunk of it and plenty enough since airfare and hotel are covered :)

I was wondering if they would let you add the dining plan and have them keep the $500 gift card? That would cover about 1/2 of the dining plan for our family since we are all "Disney Adults". Still have my fingers crossed.pixiedust:

I would say No. I know last year we asked to add and pay for the DDP OOP and were told no :(

Another winner on the other thread!

I saw that...yeah for her! This 2 boards thing is well...back and forth, back and forth. :) Good Luck to all of the rest of us! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: Extra pixie dust never hurts right?! :woohoo:

Well that's 2 Disboard winners, who look like the found the Boards after they won. But I think that happened last year too so it's still much smaller than the 19 total who reported on here that they won last year! Maybe every winner until the end of the contest will be one of "us" or find us and let us know they won :goodvibes

Curious, do you remember how many winners in total did Disney picked last year? Was it 30? Just thinking about the odds. :)

19 out of 30 would be pretty large odds for the board and then to only see 2 this year.

I know, I've never entered a contest like this before, but after seeing all the Dis winners last year, I was encouraged to try it. I've been disappointed in hardly any winner reports. :(

Sorry if this has been asked already, but each day's drawing only includes that day's entries. Right? Or are all the entries pooled together? Just curious.

Each day only includes that day's entries, except for the last day, they pool all the entries from every day together and do a big drawing then.

It was 32 like this year I think - every day in January and I think it started December 31st. When I did the math it was almost 60% of the winners were on the Dis last year - big difference!!!
