WDW "Vacation A Day" Contest!

I subscribed to this thread and love reading all the comments thus far. Lol everyone is just as excited as me and we are still waiting to hear from a winner to give us details and so we can live vicariously through. :)

Just had a knock at my door. Looked outside the FedEx truck is in my drive. I didn't order anything so of course I think omg I won the disney trip. No, it's my scanner from national consumer panel. The email they sent me saying it shipped went to my spam folder so I had no idea it was coming. Oh well for a minute I was excited.

There are 2 threads going on the Dis (and a thread on another forum I go on) and not a single winner yet. I too wonder if they haven't notified the winners yet...yeah, let's go with that.

I know I said this before (maybe on the CB thread) but I am shocked no one has come forward as a winner. :confused3

Honestly, I am guessing a majority of the entrants are Disers, how can no one have won yet?

It does seem odd. Last time they ran this daily sweepstakes for a month, there were a bunch of disers reporting that they had won a trip. I was surprised at how many disers had actually won (and sad I wasn't one of them!). I'm surprised there isn't one person reporting a win this time. I checked the offical rules, and it states they are drawing 3 business days after each entry date.

It's so odd - I feel like if there haven't been any winners from the pool of DISers, then my chances for BEING that Diser that does win should be higher, right? But I actually feel the opposite - I would almost feel more encouraged if I saw some actual winners here. The month is halfway done and none so far? Only confirm we've had so far is some Redditor??? Why not us???

I feel the same way! I am more encouraged when I see more of us Dis-ers winning!

Im with you. We travel frequently from Tampa and have found fantastic service at the rosen plaza for less money thats just a few min away.... completely worth it , IMO

I love the Rosen Plaza... always clean, always good service and not far from Disney at all.

I do know that the contest letter/information that comes in the FedEx package will not be super fancy and look like Disney mail. So, if you get official Disney mail of some kind, it's a safe bet it's not the contest. Not to put anybodys hopes down though.

I would still have to imagine that they'd attempt to call/email before sending a letter though, correct? I would think they would want to be sure they have the correct mailing address before sending off a letter to the (potentially) wrong physical address.

This is driving me crazy! I can't believe there has not been a DIS winner yet. I enjoy reading about their excitement and planning!

I've been off work for two months on bed rest following a motor vehicle accident. I have nothing better to do with my time than read this thread all day long - LOL!

Sorry about your accident. :( Keep your chin up though, someone from here is bound to win.....right? pixiedust:

Is it possible you aren't allowed to post publicly you won? Maybe something has changed this year? It does seem weird.

I think they do yes, but I know for one of the older contests some people simply received FedEx without warning. Things could have changed though. Contacting before though does make the most sense.

Maybe its punishment for all of the FP+ complaints. ha ha.

:rotfl2: I don't know why everyone is complaining about the FP+. It sounds like it is the best idea Disney has had in years! I mean, really, I would welcome any and all changes Disney decides to try and implement. It is never an inconvenience to me and my family when we wait hours to ride a 10 second ride. :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc (I have no idea if I'd like FP+ or not because I haven't been there to experience it for myself...but I am not above sucking up to increase my chances of winning! :flower3::worship:)

I actually like the convenience of Fast Pass + (if sucking up will help), we went directly to the rides that have long lines and saved our passes for later in the afternoon for other rides or used them to ride our favorites twice. I do think 4 or 5 passes per a day would be better. With the paper system, we were often able to get at least 4 per day. I loved that my kids were able to buy drinks and snacks using the bands without having to move from my chair at the pool. They would even bring me a treat! Somebody had to save the chairs!
