WDW trivia book

I posted this over on the Community Board, but I thought I'd mention it here, too.

Has anyone else come across The Walt Disney World Trivia Book by a guy named Louis Mongello? My mom just gave it to me, and it is a fun paperback book (200+ pages) for those of us who like WDW and the trivial facts about it. I thought I knew a lot, but there is a lot I don't know . It's written in a multiple choice question format, and the answers give lots of explanations and details. I'd never heard of it before (it was just published this year), and I thought some of you might be interested in knowing about it

BTW - I just want to state that I don't personally know the guy who wrote it, I didn't have anything to do with the publishing of the book, and I don't know where you can buy it .

I had stumbled across it Wednesday night and emailed my 2 friends the info and which Border's in our area had copies. Thursday afternoon my 1 friend had already bough a copy and after checking out her review had gone and bought my own which I used to quiz Hubby all the way home with :-D The other friend has to order her copy now because the 3 closest stores to her are now sold out thanks to us 2 and some other lucky person unknown to us otherwise she would have had her copy last night too *lol*

I've enjoyed it, we're suppose to be doing some driving tomorrow with errands and visiting so I'm definitely taking our copy along.

If anyone has a copy of that Popping Up around Walt Disney World (think that's the correct title) I'd love to heard what they think. It sounds cute and the child in me has to have it *g*

Any other good books out there recently released?

BTW, the trivia book is a May2004 release I believe, the Barnes & Nobles in my area had it on order but had not received it as of Thursday night. I had found thru bordersstore.com checking the inventory for my favorite locations who had at least 1 copy course they said the 3rd location had a copy but it was already gone or held by Thursday when I was hunting for it.

Well, I do know the guy (at least online, I do) and I highly recommend his book, "The Walt Disney World Trivia Book." He posts on these and other boards under the screen name, AKQJ10. He even has his own website, which I also recommend, where you can order a copy of the trivia book.

Hi James . Thanks, Diane. Actually as soon as I posted this thread on the Community Board this afternoon, Dan Murphy pointed out to me that the author is a DISer. So I hurriedly posted over here on the Theme Parks board before I actually had the chance to meet Louis Mongello. So far I haven't met him. I included that last paragraph in my original post because I didn't want to get accused of trying to sell something on the DIS .

Some people posted over on the CB that they met Louis at the recent New Jersey DIS meet. I knew someone who wrote a book like this either had to be a DISer or would soon become one .

I can attest to that! Although I don;t know you, Krista, I'd like to thank you, Diane and James for the kudos about the book! I'm happy that you are all enjoying it!

I have been a DIS'er for a while before starting my own site, and I still post in the Parks Game and other threads regularly.

And finally... Wow! It's great to hear (I guess) that bookstores are sold out! I can't say where else it's available, but you can look at James' post for a hint.
