Saturday August 23rd

The sun was shining today
Shame we were going home tomorrow!!

We decided to try & fit our 2 seperate days for Aquatica & Seaworld into one day today as the planned days hadnt happened due to TS Fay!!

Got up early & caught a taxi at 8.30am, Aquatica wasnt suppose to open till 9am but when we arrived it was already open. The taxi cost $15.

This was where i realised that my concusion incident at TL had effected me much more than i realised!!
We did the family raft ride 1st & i was terrified of tipping out!!! i've always loved this before! couldnt wait to get off!!

So we decide we'll do the nice relaxing lazy river- floating on the tubes.......
There was this HUGE bug with pincer type claws swimming straight for DD & me, we were stuck in our tubes & the bug was heading straight for us - we had visions of the thing going under our bottoms & attacking us with those pincer claws!! So DD & I are screaming our heads off & shouting for DH to pull us out of the way, the lifeguard looks at us like were mad & shakes his head, DH cant do anything for laughing!! he manages to pull us out of the way at the last second as DD & I were almost in tears & screaming the place down (soooo embarrasing )

After that i decide water parks are unlucky for me!! So i let DD & DH go off to do the rides while i sit on a lounger near the wave pool & i had a dip in the water whilst tentivly looking around for the killer bug!!

we left at 11am & caught the i-ride trolley to seaworld, we all rode Atlantis & then shock, horror DD agreed to do Kraken with us!!! Her 1st upside down roller coaster yes after spending 3 weeks out their she finally does it on our last day!! & she loved it! had to say ''told you'' ...she rode it twice!!

We watched the shamu believe show then watched the dolphin show, it was really hot today so after sitting out in the sun we went to the wild arctic to cool down! got a great pic of DD with the polar bear

when we came out it was raining!! was glad of it this time though!

We had a reservation for dine with shamu, this was the 3rd or 4th time we've done this, always loved it
The trainers now mix with the guests, the food was good as always & the interaction was great but it did seem a lot shorter!! maybe it was because it was still raining ..shouldnt bother the whales!!!

I came down with a really bad headache - heat or kraken??..or both??

We caught the taxi back to RPR ($20) i took 2 tablets & slept for an hour then got up & started packing
At 9pm we went to Jakes bar & used our free drinks vouchers
It stopped raining so we had a walk around the pool as this was the 1st time it had been open in the evening during our stay. It was really busy & lively & kinda made us realise what we'd missed out on having TS Fay

Lovely day and photos. I always think that is the best way to tackle rollercoasters (I used to hate them too), just let the person decide when they want to try them themselves rather than force them on to things. I hate seeing little kids being dragged on to things they don't want to go on.

Great day,well done to your Dd for riding Kraken,she is braver than me,i don't do upside down or backwards .
What a shame it's all coming to an end now .x.

Well done to your DD for riding Kraken, one of the more scarey rides in my opinion, good on her

i think Kraken was a good one to try 1st - its very smooth!!! The only bit i hate is the slow climb to the top - dont like heights!!
