hey eveyone
we will be taking a 4 day long trip to WDW in December. i am intent on finally recording every detail so that i can scrapbook them when i get back. i saw the post on the ziplock bags...but does anyone have any other ideas for preserving memories. i have a travel jouranl already. and does anyone know where i can get free Disney stuff, like someone said a while ago that Dsiney had mailedthem a little packet with scrapbooking stuff. can i get that without registering or planning my vacation through a Disney person?

Just got back from Disney & Universal. As you can see from my other thread, I was really disappointed with what Universal had to offer in the sticker department. Almost every giftshop in Disney sells stickers or scrapbook items. I also keep my tickets. Napkins. Have the napkins from the food and wine festival. Asked to keep the menus at the restaurants that we ate in at Epcot. Kept the coaster from Rose & Crown at Epcot. We ate there for our anniversary. We told them at check in that it was our anniversary and requested a patio table. Got it and got to watch the fireworks show. Told the waitress that it was our Anniversary and she asked our names. At the end of the meal she presented us with a printed certificate with our names and happy anniversary. It says, "This Moment was Certifiably Magical." It was signed by the staff. If you are celebrating anything, be sure to tell the CM's. :)

I take a 12x12 case with me on my trips -- it's made of hard plastic and it's about an inch thick. Something else I take along are photo mailers for the professional pictures that you might buy at the parks and for postcards. That way I don't have to worry about messing up my memories.

When will you be there? I'm there 12/16 to 12/19, then we're on the Wonder from 12/19 to 12/23.

Have fun!

thanks for all the suggestions. any more would be appreciated. i will be there the 16 to the 21. happy halloween!

..as others have said, there are plenty of free paper souveneirs around disney-- When you check in ask for extra copies of the hotel map and world guide (don't know what its called- but its the little pamphlet they give you about your hotel) If you have kids, have them do the kidcot stuff, and take pictures, it will make a great page.

We ate at the brown derby one afternoon, and they had a recipe card in the shape of the brown derby hat- our waiter brought us a few when I asked for extra napkins for my scrapbook- he also brought us the mgm plastic sitcks from the bar.

There are LOTS of scrapbooking kits-- there is a dining one, a halloween one, 2 christmas ones (mickey and pooh), several park ones, a wedding one, as well as a spiral book of 12x12 paper. True, they aren't free-- but they are really great. And, if you have an annual pass you can buy most of the same stuff from the Disney Scrap store at World of Disney @ Downtown Disney and use your ap to save 10%. I always forget about that!

We'll be there 12/9-12/19 :)
