So my dad knocked on my door and asked "Do you wanna go to disneyworld in october?"
and i was like....OMG YES!

he said we're gonna be staying there for about 3-4 days, i'm not sure if i can bring a friend yet. I'm so excited hahah, this is my first wdw trip.

I don't think we're going to animal kingdom, but we might go to epcot and for sure the magic kingdom.

sooo any first-timer advice?

Omg that's brill. I'm so happy for you. In fact, i'm going in October too :)

Just appreciate your holiday, is all i can say. Have the time of your life and don't let anything stop you having fun ;)

im going Oct 30- Nov 4th.

i agree. you dont really need to do Animal Kingdom. there isnt much there. the only ride i really ride in AK is EE and Kali River Rapids.

you will have fun. wear tennis shoes
apply sunscreen
get autographs from characters.
get a bunch of photopass pictures done.
use Fastpass and Extra Magic Hours.

I have only one word of advice for you: Beg to go longer! Four days simply isn't enough! :mickeyjum

No, but really. Here is some real advice:

1- Use fast passes when ever possible! They save you loads of time and while your waiting for your time to roll around you can go on something else with a shorter line. Or eat. Or just sit around an be lazy. What ever floats your boat. :thumbsup2
2- Two parks you MUST hit: MK and Epcot. Animal Kingdom is cool if you have the time to go there, because it's got Kali, the Safari, Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, etc. But once you're done all there is left to do is walk around and stare at Animals. And MGM (or 'Disney Studio's', as they now call it. ) is mainly shows except for TOT and Rock 'N Roller Coaster.
3- EAT A MICKEY BAR. They're delightful. :thumbsup2
4- Dress comfortably. Please, no high heels (and I have actually seen some people wear those there before. :sad2:). You will walk A LOT. And you don't want blisters on your delicate, little toes now do you? D:
5- THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF THEM ALL: HAVE FUN! :cool1:

Hey hey Im going in october too... well end of sept beginning of sept. :)
Make sure you grab a Dole whip in the MK..

you guys gotta realize disneyland is really similar to wdw..just smaller. i've had dole whips and mickey bars every time i go there hahah
this is my first DISNEY trip. just my first WDW trip :goodvibes:

For Epcot I recommend 2 days(so you can really enjoy every country)but since you are going a little amount of days 1 is fine.

Sit-down meals are unnecesary because Counter-Service is much faster and you need all the time you can in your short amount of time.

Take up the whole days from opening to closing...its the only way to catch everything that makes Disney special.

The World Showcase players, in EPCOT they are in Italy and Great Britain. They are hilarious especially in GB.

OFF KILTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you would like them, and I'm taking a wild guess since are brothers are the same age, but my brother loved it and he could not stop dancing.

Last piece of advice is to not bring an asian, lol...jk, but to tell you the truth I wouldnt bring a friend because then you cant really act like a kid and be careless. THe only exception is if they are as big of a Disney fan as you...*cough*me*cough*...lol

I hope you have a great time to your first WDW trip

off kilter??

I wasn't planning on bringing him XD, awkward much. I would invite my best friend (who loves disney as much as me) but she'll be at boarding school. So i'm gonna invite my other best friend (I'm going to disneyland with her in august..so we'll see if she's as immature as me hahha)
Sorry Thomas :p

Off Kilter is a band in Canada and they call their genre Celtic Rock...but they play, lets say Danny Boy, really upbeat and fun. Just look them up on youtube...they are awesome. And darn you

I would actually focus on the other parks, since you go to Disneyland a lot. Magic Kingdom is just a smaller version of DL. I mean, go there, of course, but don't go just there.

AK is actually really really fun. There's of course Everest, Kali, and Dinosaur for the 'thrill' rides. But there's also great shows like Nemo, Flights of Wonder, and Festival of the Lion King. Then there's the Safari, which is amazing. I also have a ton of fun at the trails -- it's so amazing to just stand there so close to this huge Gorilla and have a staring contest (;)). Go early in the morning! Preferably at opening, because that's when most of the animals come out.

The Studios has a lot of great shows and thrills rides like Tower of Terror and Rock'nRoller Coaster. Fantasmic is amazing, you must see it once at least!

Epcot is beyond words. Slowly strolling through the countries, shopping for different things, watching the street performers, snacking on the food (you'll be going during F&W time, double win!). Especially Morrocco, you can seriously get lost back there just strolling through the shops.

Have a ton of fun Devan! :)

Gah, I'm not used to all the rides being spread out so much, hahha!
