It seems that there a lot of threads here (and elsewhere) all asking the same questions...

"How do I get from a to b?"

"What's the best/shortest way to get from a to b?"

"Can I even get from a to b using WDW transportation?"

Well, all this reminded me of something my wife and I used to do at WDW before my mobility needs.

We used to try to go places by different routes, just to see what was there, not take the direct bus or whatever, but try to go someplace to be able to see somthing new.

We also used to make a game of geting places...

How can I get from a to b making sure to use a Monorail, or use a Friendship, or use no more than x buses but no less than y.

It was a good, fun way to explore the property.

Then there were the times we would just go exploring other resorts looking for nice restaurants or whatnot.

One day, when we were touring resorts, we were going to a theme park (for some reason D/MGM seemed to work out well this time) and then get on a bus to a resort, explore, then get a bus back to D/MGM then get on another resort bus. We went to 4 or 5 resorts and after getting on the same bus three of four times going to and from several different resorts, the drivers asked...

"Are you trying to get somewhere specific?"
"Lost?"
"Can I help you find your way?"

We laughed, "No, we're just exploring, but thanks!"

WDW transport has helped us see thing s at WDW we would never have seen had we always gone the shortest, fastest route.

Later,

Andy
