Can anyone tell me if this originally sold for $8.50 or $10.50 ?

Thanks much.

Lady Kat -

Well for what it's worth (nothing :D ). I tried to help. Dug out my slider collection and checked the back of the card....

The price was blacked out with a magic marker.

I know I don't even own a magic marker, and I bought the pin myself, so it must have come that way.

You might check out the archives at www.dizpins.com. They have every month archived - I'm not sure what month the pin came out, but they post pics and usually the price of every new LE at WDW, among others.

Good luck!

I think Megashark has a good idea about looking through the Dizpins archives. I wish I could remember exactly when the pin came out. I can tell you it was most likely between March 17th and April 10th.

If I were to guess, I'd say the original retail price was $10.50. Here's my thinking. WDW does not issue LEs for less than $8.50. And, if there is anything special about the LE -- it has a slider, it's 3D, it lights up -- it's usually $10.50 and up. Since this just has the sliding train, I figured on $10.50.

Hope this helps.
:D

Oh dear...I bought the Train Slider at the Disney Store at the airport on my way home from the DTD event. I'm pretty sure it was $8.50.....

Sure, I don't know a darn piece of Disney trivia.

But, ask me the retail price of something . . .

A girl's got to go with her strengths! ;)

According to Dizpins, it was $8.50......

I was with Leslie and it was after the March event. We were at the airport and bought 2 each. they were $8.50. I still have one on a backing card.
They are cute pins, and really look nice next to the Main Gate pin with Mickey and that other mouse.

$8.50 for it..we got it at the Animal Kingdom pin cart the day they were issued in March!

Wasn't this the pin they messed up the pricing on for a small batch that made it out? No, wait.. that was the 102 Dalmatians Dangle.

Hmm.. we can split the difference and call it $9.50 ;)

Thanks all....you are the greatest.

I followed your advise and looked back through the Dizpins archives...they said $8.50....so guess I'll go with that price.

Thanks again.

I guess I know why the price was blacked out on my pin....

Oh, no.

I've already admitted to knowing no Disney trivia.

Now, it appears I have lost my retail price recall skill.

What's left?

I am merely the shell of the fanatic I once was. ;)
