WDW to US/IOA

Does anyone know if there is a shuttle service running from WDW property to US/IOA?

If so, where and when?

If not, what's my best option to get to US/IOA from WDW without having a car?

Your best bet is by taxi. But you actually can go by public transportation. Visit http://www.golynx.com for route maps.

Does anyone know if the taxi is a better rate than the $12 per person quoted by Mears? (We have 6 going.)

You can also try Tiffany Town Car....they have full size vans for groups your size, and they'd schedule your trip in advance so you wouldn't take a chance on whether you could get a taxi when you wanted it. I can't remember what their rate is to go from WDW to US/IOA, but I know they definitely do that....you could check their web site to see if the rate is listed. I think the rate would definitely be less than the Meer's rate times 6, and you get direct and personal service! They used to also have a $10 off coupon on their web site.
