I am staying a few nights at universal after my disney trip. I understand that the mears shared shuttle to universal does not take luggage (pity as originally I assumed I could use this shuttle). I have been getting online estimates for taxis and sedan transfers and wanted clarifications of the inclusions. I am from Australia and taxes are always included in our prices but I assume they are not on these websites. Can someone please tell me what the tax rate is? I am trying to get an estimate of the total incl tax and tip before deciding whether it might just be better to pay a little extra and know the total for a booked transfer versus taking a taxi. I will be transferring during the day on a Sunday so I assume there will not be unusually high traffic but I have never been there before so have no idea. Also, anyone tell me how far in advance you usually need to book a car? Taxis are more flexible in that regard.
