WDW to announce new discount program: Magical Beginnings

I find the best place to find out new info is allearsnet.com I don't think the Wiggles will even be in magic kingdom. I would say MGM.

This is preliminary and not confirmed--but the dates that I have so far on this.

Playhouse Disney in Concert with concerts and special entertainment at Disney-MGM Studios from Disney Channel favorites:
o The Wiggles (late Aug.)
o The Doodlebops (Aug. )
o Johnny & the Sprites (dates TBD)
o Dan Zanes and more (dates TBD)
o Also, a new show, “Mickey’s Magic Show”

Looks like there will be additional Fantasyland Extra Magic Hours - Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom will be open an hour early on select days for Disney Resort Guests. (This is in addition to regularly scheduled Extra Magic Hours.) select attractions like “it’s a small world”, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Peter Pan. Character greetings will be going on as well

New Playhouse Character Dining at Disney-MGM Studios (Opening in June 2006, bookings being taken now) Dine with Playhouse Pals JoJo, Goliath and the Little Einsteins at Hollywood & Vine.

It also appears that they have some special Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party dates scheduled as well that willl coincide with this promotion in September (outside of the other scheduled dates)

This is the exact same promotion, just marketed differently (in areas targeting families with pre-schoolers.) It has a different code associated with it so they can track the success of the marketing promotion, but there is no difference in the package discount.

Apparently the Wiggles, Johnny & the Sprites, the Doodlebops, and more will be appearing in August/Sept for this as well (to promote pre-schoolers coming down.)

Oh Sue Ellen you said the magic word for our family the Doodlebops(I have to admit they creep me out but my ds loves them ..we're the doodlebops oh yeah!..... And if Some of the bands from Jack's BIg Music show head down....well then we might just have to go twice this summer!!! And that Johnny is so darn cute.
I might as well get some use out of my AP since it doesn't look like I am getting a room discount this year....

Ds can never see this thread. Between the Wiggles and the Doodlebops he would go nuts since we can't move our trip to August. Even though he has seen the Wiggles twice in concert and probably will see them again this summer he has never seen the Doodlebops. As creepy as they are he just loves them.

So let's see - we're missing free dining, we're missing the $129 r/t Air tran fare, we're missing the EMH for Fantasyland and we're missing the Doolebops and the Wiggles. And now it looks as if we're going to the miss an AP room discount too. WHat happened to pixie dust?

here is some for you... and where are you seeing the Wiggles this summer? I think I'll go check out that website- because we love them too! I missed that whole kid's music tour last year and I was so upset- (Zane and Laurie Berkner....) I was too busy worrying about U2 tickets for myself

I haven't checked the website yet but the last two summers we saw the Wiggles in August in Philadelphia. Hopefully they'll be back this year. OT - Ds found out there is a WiggleWorld amusement park in Australia and now begs us to take him there and Hong Kong Disney (definitely not happening). If these Doodlebops don't show up around here soon I think we'll be heading for Canada!

Now if my older children weren't so selfish to have to go back to college and start Law School we could have taken advantage of the free dining and the Doodlebops (just kidding)! I wish we could squeeze another trip in but since we've started going in January too DH would definitely divorce me if I wanted a third trip. Just a few years ago he though we would only go every other year., HA! HA! HA! That was thousands of dollars ago but I really don't want to see his head spin around by suggesting a THIRD trip!

That is too funny. If my son knew there was a Wiggleworld it would all be over...... My oldest wants to go to Tokyo to get in on all the early release video gaming stuff. He is begging me to take him. Ummm don't think so..... And I didn't even know the doodlebops were from Canada- I need to be more on top of this stuff. lol. And how dare your older children think about Law School! There are sprites to see!!

Sue Ellen...where should we be keeping tabs on this info. Will it be posted somewhere special? Do you think those Fantasyland extra hours will go thru Sept. 30th or am I wishing for to much ! We don't arrive until the 27th of Sept. but havign the characters out there in that specific section so early in the day would be great!

Called WDW today and got this info: Every Sun. Weds. and Fri. during end of Aug. (not sure of the date) through Sept. 30, Fantasyland will open an hour early. I am actually a little bummed out by this, because I got PS at CRT for Fri 9/22 at 8:10 am, specifically so we could be some of the first guests in Fantasyland once we are finished breakfast! Oh well, maybe now we can get on one ride before breakfast!

Also, the special concerts that they have booked so far are The Doodlebops, The Wiggles, and the Mickey's Magic Show. They do not have dates yet for Dan Zanes or Johnny and the Sprites. The concerts will be at MGM.

If you call WDW regarding Magical Beginnings, be sure to call 407-wdw-prek instead of the main number. The person I talked to at the main number today didn't know anything about it.

I wasn't sure if they would give special tickets for the concerts and passes for the extra Fantasyland hours. We are booked under the free dining promo...and I want to make sure we can still see the Wiggles
