What you have is a "real" ticket. You can go ahead a use them at the parks. If you prefer a sturdier plastic ticket have your hotel put your tickets on your room keys - you would not need to change them again once you change hotels. The room key portion would no longer work but the park ticket is fine.
We had my hubbies airmiles ticket put on his room key when we were there in February - we added more days and the non-expiry option. We still have his "room key" and will bring it with us this August to use some of his ticket days.
Both of the kids used their paper tickets during the trip with no issues. The disney store tickets are also paper.
Just keep in mind that each ticket will be linked to a person. (They scan your fingerprint at the front entrances) So once you decide who gets which ticket - it's their to hold on to! (We actually like the room keys because they have their names on them - but the kids like the paper because it has a character/scene)
