We plan on spending 3 parks days end of summer next year (or more like 2.5 days). From the numbers I'm seeing, we can purchase:
  • the 4 day Canadian discount for $40 USD less than the regular 3 days,
  • or 3 day ticket from Undercover Tourist for about $67 USD less,
  • or 3 day ticket from Expedia, with conversion works out about $40 more than UT but $30 less than CAD discount (and $68 less than regular)
Has anyone used Touring Plans to purchase WDW tickets? Is this site reliable?

For Canadians, do you do eTicket or mail? (It looks like eTickets are not refundable)

Also, if we don't have a magic band (as we're in Canada), then for both, do we need to go to the 'call' location? The site seems to mention this with eTicket, but in either case, we won't have a magic band being in Canada. (Or maybe we get one from our hotel check in?).

We'll be coming off a cruise and only have 2.5 park days so want to maximize park time (and minimize standing in lines to get our tickets/bands ready).

If you are purchasing the Canadian Resident Tickets directly from Disney, they are issued as exchange certificates and you have to visit Guest Services and show your passports to activate them. If you order from Undercover Tourist, I would suggest having the e-tickets issued. They are super quick to get to you and since you wouldn't be purchasing with Canadian Resident pricing, you can just go straight to the park. Are you staying on-site? If you're staying on site, you will still get magic bands regardless if you're Canadian or not, you just have to pick them up at the front desk when you arrive.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we are staying onsite at Pop. So they give us the magic bands at check in, right?

Do you know how Expedia works? These tickets are an option too and always nice when you are paying in CAD.

Hey there. Could you tell me how the Canadian deal works with FP+? Can I book FP before I prove I'm from Canada?

They work exactly the same as normal tickets, you just have to prove residency before you can enter a park :)
