I was very suprised to read on another thread that you can use your Disney World MYW park hopper tickets at Disneyland. Can you use your WDW annual pass at DL? :confused3

I'd like to know that too. I think I've read that you can't, but that doesn't make sense if you can use other WDW tickets at DL. Anybody know for sure??

No you cannot use the WDW Annual Pass. Just the park hopper tickets..

Maybe, because the park hopper tickets have a certain number of days attached to them. So its an easy exchange. Also, the WDW tickets are more expensive. So Disney is actually making even a bit more money by having you use a ticket that cost more to get into a park that costs less. Which is why this doesn't work in reverse order, you cannot use DL tickets to get into WDW. Also Disneyland tickets expire something like 14 days after the first use. There is not any such thing as a non expiry DL ticket.

Also AP's are a great deal for the holder. Especially if you go many, many times. Imagine the per ticket cost if you used your AP's for say 2o or more days at one park, that maybe you lived close to, then flew out to the other park and started using it there. Disney loves repeat guests but they still want to make their money.

And when exchanging WDW tickets for DL ones, they need to be non expiry type. Either the current ones or the old park hoppers that never expired (those were the days).

And I know for sure because I have had AP's at both parks for about three years now. It would be nice but no such luck!

P.S. For anyone thinking about this, just know that it isn't just a matter of sticking your WDW ticket into the Disenyland turnstile. The ticket has to be verified as still having days on it, then a new ticket issued. I believe this is ideally done at the ticket booths in the Espanlande. Some person on another board had to wait about 15 minutes I think at the turnstile recently while they did this for her. So its easier to do it at the ticket booth where they know how to do it, and it beats waiting off to the side at the turnstile while they figure it out.

Unless something's changed very recently, you cannot exchange a WDW ticket for a DL ticket at the ticket booth. It can only be done at the entry turnstile. I've done it, and it shouldn't take 15 minutes. Maybe 5, I'd say. The CM at the turnstile pushes a button somewhere and another CM magically appears to get your ticket, takes it away somewhere to scan a day off of it, and then returns with it. While the 2nd CM is away with your ticket, you'll sort of stand off to the side a bit while the first CM processes other people entering the park. When your ticket is returned, the turnstile CM will issue you another park ticket to use in the fastpass machines for the day. Hope that makes sense!

Okay, well there was a rather upset poster over on the Theme Parks board that had a very long experience of exchanging her WDW ticket at the turnstile. You can do it at the ticket booth, I have before (but that was a couple of years ago). Whatever anyone does, I would just allow some extra time. This poster was upset because she didn't get into the park as early as she wanted and missed the first-thing-in-the-morning Finding Nemo Line and was understandably upset with the whole process. She indicated the wait for this process was about 15-20 minutes. So you'd have to take that up with her I guess but that was her experience!

Here is a thread with some information. Note that the one person was told to go to the ticket window. So I would imagine that the ticket windows at the Espanlande could do this still (again, they did for me). And it would very well seem that it should not take as long as this other poster mentioned. Maybe it just felt that long while she stood there and waited!
