i apologize in advance for this, no doubt, very basic ticket question, but we've bought APs for the past several years, so i'm not at all familiar with the rules of the MYW ticket...

we will be there for 14 days and are planning on entering the parks on all 14 days...
but the maximum number of days i can purchase is 10...

so what happens on the other 4 days?

can i add on another 4 days at the marginal per day rate of the 10 day?

or do i have to buy a 4 day ticket in addition to the 10 day ticket?

option 1 would cost me something like $518
option 2 would cost me something like $710 (in this case, the premium AP would clearly be the way to go)

which reminds me, do AP holders get discounts on tickets?
that is, let's say i buy one AP - would i then get discounts on the MYW tickets i buy for the other 5 people with me?

No this isn't possible. 10 days is the maximum you can put on a MYW ticket

or do i have to buy a 4 day ticket in addition to the 10 day ticket?
Yes you have to buy an extra 4 day ticket

option 1 would cost me something like $518
option 2 would cost me something like $710 (in this case, the premium AP would clearly be the way to go)
Maybe there is another price difference when you would buy 2 7day MYW ticket???

Nope no discount tickets for AP holders....
The only discounted tickets you can buy is for the parties....

I know that UK visitors are able to buy 14 or 21 day passes to WDW. Might I suggest you contact your travel agent in Israel to see if they sell anything similar?

Also, keep in mind places like Undercover Tourist that sell tickets. I've used them before and have saved a few bucks,

Isn't the regular AP only $531? I know that it is still a bit more than the $518 option you had mentioned above, but you would also save your parking fees each day (if you were staying off-property) and you would have the option to park-hop.

Did you have an AP last year? You might want to see if you are still within the renewal window and save some $ that way.

i've actually bought the UK 14 day ultimate ticket before....
but it has gone up quite a bit in price, so i wanted to check my options...
plus i have to pay a service fee to get my UK travel agent to buy them for me (they are only sold in the UK - you have to have a UK credit card and mailing address to get them)....
but even with the service fee my TA charges, i see that it will still be much much cheaper than buying an AP or MYW ticket...
and since i have to buy 6 tickets this time, anything i can save will be helpful...

i would need the premium AP - we're big waterpark and DQ people...

i just read through your entire sticky - wow!!!
truly informative...

and i'd forgotten something...
we'll be on the free dining package, which means i have to buy at least a 2 day base ticket for each of us (6 of us)...

so that's $162 that i HAVE to spend, regardless of what ticket i ultimately choose...
so if i buy those UK tickets, i'm essentially throwing out $162 X 6...
a lot of money to throw away..

so...

that makes the decision slightly more complex...

my understanding of what you wrote is that i can upgrade that 2 day base ticket to a premium annual pass....
the PAP costs $629...
so to upgrade the 2 day base ticket, i'll have to add $467 to the $162 that i have to pay regardless..
and the total amount i pay (in two steps) = $629 (or more, if disney raises the price before we get there on aug. 15th...

if i buy the 14 day ultimate...
i'll have to spend $351 (or thereabouts, depending on the exchange rate), plus a service charge to my TA (probably another $50 per ticket)....
and that's on top of the $162 that i'll have to spend and throw away.
so that total is $351 + $50 + $162 = $563

so....
interesting...
the PAP will cost about $66 more (per ticket - so multiply that by 6)..

but on the off chance i might actually come back within the year, i suppose it's a better buy than the 14 day ultimate since i have to pay for that 2 day MYW ticket as part of the package..

my head hurts...

Instead of thinking of those 2-day tickets as something you're throwing away, just save them for a future trip and you can upgrade them to more days then.

The 14-day sounds like the best deal for your family so far, unless like you said, there's an off-chance you're coming back.

You don't have to get the PAP for everyone do you? What are the chances of your whole group returning within the year? If it's only you or a few of you, then you can get the PAP for those people, then get the 14-day for the others.
