WDW Ticket Cost Analyzer is a spreadsheet to help you decide whether to use the remaining days on your old park hoppers or credit those days toward a new MYW ticket. Hope it helps!

Wait a minute! Are you saying that if I have old Park Hopper Plus tickets and want to upgrade, that I HAVE TO take the hopper, plus AND no expiration options on the new tix? That's unbelievable!

I was planning to upgrade from 5-day PHP to six-day MYW passes, and to choose the plus option, but no hopper and no expiration. The total cost will still be more for the MYW, but not by much. But if I have to add hopper and no expiration options, the cost will be prohibitive.

Are you sure about this? How about some information from those of you who have actually upgraded at WDW. What have your experiences been?

The following is from the sticky post at the top of this board titled Sticky: *UPDATED* Magic Your Way Tickets And Packages FAQ :

Any ticket that you upgrade to must, at a minimum, have the exact same number of days and the same option configuration. That means if you want more days, or to add more options, you may. But you can't take away any options. For example: If you have an unused 4 day Park Hopper Pass, the bare minimum you would be REQUIRED to get would be a 4 day base with park-hopping and non-expiration. If you wanted to get more days, or get the magic plus pack option, you could add those. If you have a 5 day Park Hopper Plus Pass, at a bare minimum, you would be required to upgrade to a 5 day base, with premium and non-expiration options. You could add more days if you wanted to.

I authored the Admission FAQ and I can tell you that the information came from a Guest Relations Cast Member.

So, unfortunately, yes - you will have to have the same options on a Magic Your Way ticket as are on your Park Hopper in order to complete the upgrade.

Wow! Thanks for the info. I had read your Admission FAQ when you first created it, but it didn't answer my pressing questions, especially about the value that Disney would give tickets bought at brokers. I had been constantly checking the DIS then, to see if anyone had tried to upgrade and what their experience had been. Now, I've gone back and read your updated FAQ and, if I'm reading correctly, I can't upgrade a ticket from TicketMania anyway!

What a bummer! I was planning to upgrade to 6-day passes and be able to go to DisneyQuest as well.

Well, I guess we won't be doing all that after all . . .

For thsoe who already downloaded, please be aware of the following policy changes noted in the thread *UPDATED* Magic Your Way Tickets And Packages FAQ :

4.) UPGRADING: If you are within 7 days of the FIRST time you used your ticket, or your ticket is completely unused, you may upgrade it. You will receive full credit for Disney's GATE price of the pass. This does, now, include broker passes. (Hotwire, Ticketmania...) From there, you may then purchase admission, but remember that you'll have to follow the first two guidelines.

5.) DOLLAR CREDITS: If your ticket has been used, and it's been MORE than 7 days since your past use, you can get a pro-rated dollar credit for the remaining admission. Once again, the pro-rated credit you receive is base on Disney's GATE price of the pass. This does, now, include broker passes. (Hotwire, Ticketmania...) That dollar credit is then applied toward new admission. The NEW admission must still follow the first two guidelines.
