WDW Singing Audition

Hi! This might be random, but...

On the calendar right now, it says that there's some sort of agreement with Actor's Equity that covers performers, and I wondered if anyone knew if that means this is an Equity-only audition?

I only ask because I know the Beauty and the Beast show is AEA only, and I'd hate to show up and wait only to find out that I can't audition.

(If anyone had any other tips about this audition, I would be eternally grateful if you didn't mind sharing-i.e., what songs waaaaay too many people have sung, etc.)

Performers are covered, but the audition is not only Equity. I went to the Beauty and the Beast audition in October of last year, I am not AEA and was allowed to audition, and I'd say almost everyone there was not Equity.

Non-Equity performers can be seen at any Equity audition anywhere. They just have to wait until all Equity and EMC performers have been seen. It's also still a risk since they could not have time at the end of the day so see non-eq so you could wait all day and not be seen at all. But, this is a risk that countless people make every day.

In FL Disney general see non equity performers after the Equity ones but in NYC its much harder to get seen from my experience in the 2 different places.

Also if you are a CP go towards the end of our program cuz they wont switch you our of a CP to be equity but at the end of the program if they like you they'll look at you.

PennyLou, I'm not currently a CP, so I'm just kind of going on a hope and a prayer.

I had another question, though. Does anyone know what I should wear to this? Should I wear an audition dress or my dance clothes (a solid color t-shirt and black jazz pants)?

The dress, dancing is a differnt audition at Disney other then Finding nemo which they have calls for just for the show, the singers sing, the dancers dancer and the actors just do acting roles, so you'll pretty much sing and if they like you they will ask you to sign from somthing they are looking at you for so Belle or one fo the gals from hoop de doo ect
