Has anyone been to the scrapbook store at Downtown Disney lately? I was there once, about a year ago, and it didn't seem to have much. Of course I bought a lot there anyway! I am wondering if there has been anything new added.

Also, is that the only store at WDW that carries scrapbook supplies? I know there are albums in some of the camera stores, but would I need to go to DTD to get a better selection? I am going in Sept., and we might not get to DTD. I am also wanting the mickey ear scissors and the swirl mickey head punch. Would I be able to find those anywhere else at WDW?

I was at the DTD scrapbook store in early August. Everything there was also available at my resort gift shop (POR), even the Mickey scissors!! I didn't know about the swirl punch so wasn't really looking for that. Mousegears in Epcot also had a good selection of scrapbook stuff. Have fun!

We just got back and there was nothing there that I didn't see in our resort or in the parks. I wasn't impressed. I would love to see them carry individual Disney papers and stickers.

HYM8TNNCE, OK I don't know about the swirl punch. Is that something I "need"? Should I look for it when we go back? I did pick up the scissors while we were there. That was my reason to go to DTD on our last day. I ended up finding them in the MK on our first night but we still went by the store at DTD just to check it out.

I wish I knew what the Mickey swirl punch looked like!! I keep reading about it on the boards!! Maybe I'll need it next trip.....

I want to say they were about 5$. They were hiding in the shop at grand california adventure, in the back corner. The downtown disney store (also CA) had some too, way in the back section with the stickers. maggie

Thanks so much for the websites with the punches. Anyone know how much they are in the parks or at DTD?

I didn't know they carried the swirl punch at WDW. They didn't when I was there in June, but then it has been 2 months... The scissors were $6.00 though.

I haven't seen the swirl punch at WDW and the scissors are $6.00. Scrapbook supplies can be found at:

AK - Island Mercantile
Epcot - MouseGears
MGM - Can't remember the name of it but it is the store on the right when you enter the park.

Thank you so much for the info on the Mickey swirl punch! I love it!!! I think we all need it!! The only question I have is--don't make fun of me--this is a punch, right? The website alludes that it may be a stamp???? (I don't do that, I'm not that talented--still trying to figure out how to Paper Piece-ha)In any event, it will be mine!! Thanks!

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but I wanted to post my experience with the Mickey Swirl punch. When I worked at a scrapbook store, we got to play with that punch. It was very hard to work with. Because it is so detailed and the lines are small, it made cutting and actually getting the punch to bounce back (after it was through the paper) was difficult! I wasn't impressed with the way it worked. I just wanted everyone to know it seemed like more trouble than it is worth. That is just opinon, but I wanted everyone to at least know. Sorry to be a stick in the mud.

They did have the mickey scissors at the Contemporary's Fantasia gift shop, they were $6.

Can someone tell me what these mickey scissors are? Are they a must have for my next Disney scrapbook? I am going back in October. Thanks.

Kristin,

You are not being a stick in the mud. I appreciate honest feed back from a fellow scrapper. I would rather not buy it and be unhappy with it. Thanks so much!

BlkBearSuz,

I haven't used my scissors a lot. I just got them on our last trip to Disney. I really do like them though. They are just like the other decorative edgers but with Mickey ears.

I would love to get the scissors and punches at 10% off with my DC card this Oct. Thanks!

I also, agree, Kristin, your opinion was very helpful to me as well! As cute as that looks I think I might lose my mind! Thanks for the info--p.s. I love your layouts!! /COLOR]
