We missed our Christmas trip - wanted to know when the WDW Resorts are likely to remove the Christmas decor - thought we'd try a makeup the first week of January (assuming the airlines are back on track by then). If you have any input it is appreciated. Might even be helpful if you are at a resort and note the date it comes down so people will know (roughly) for next year too? Thanks everyone!!

Generally, the décor comes down at the end of the first weekend after new years. Typically, that means it's up through Marathon Weekend. It should still be up on though the 8th.

That is true for the parks, but the resort decorations come down sooner. We have visited over Marathon weekend twice in the past 3 years and the resort decorations were down both times already.

MK tree and wreaths were up both times through Marathon Sunday.

We arrived at the GF shortly after New Year's once and barely got to see the decorations.

New Year's Day was a Friday. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, 1/3, and heard muted noises in the night.

When we left our room in the morning, all holiday decorations were gone and lobby furniture back in place.

Can't speak to how speedily that is done at other resorts but suspect it's that fast.

Thanks, that pushes our "see the holiday decor" trip to next November/December to be on the safe side.

Grand Floridian decorations come down quickly, usually a couple of days after Jan 1st. I've seen the Christmas decorations in the parks come down a lot later, sometime after the marathon.
