I used to live in Orlando as a kid and went to WDW a hundred times, 15 years later I am taking my kids (6 & 11) Nov 17-24. I had a couple questions, I still have alot of reading to do on all the great threads here.

Where can I see a list of Theme Dinners where the kids can meet some characters? Where do I book these dinners?

Who has the cheapest tickets? Is the online ticket brokers or is it the brick and mortar ticket brokers in Orlando. I can't seem to find the clear best price.

Is there a list of all the acronyms being used here? DW, DD, DH, etc

Thanks in advance

Sorry...maybe someone else can help with ticket info...I usually buy a 5 day pass with the no expiration option and save my extra days!

YOU WILL HAVE SOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN PLANNING YOUR TRIP! Ask as many questions as you want here! The folks ROCK and everybody is willing to help! Just spend some time navigating the boards...The Theme Park Strategies has some great posts!

I agree you'll get a lot of great info on the DIS :disrocks: . You also may want to consider picking up the Unofficial Guide (UG). They have a great section on character dining & how to book, which characters etc. Have a great time planning your trip.

here is a link to all the menus

as for ticket prices, I think the best deal is one that mousesavers offers to members only. Just sign up for the newsletter and they email it to you around the 15th of the month and it will have a link. Just remember to add sales tax on to the price when you see a great deal, I know sometimes when you see a good deal on tickets, they didn't add the tax is what made them such a good buy!

Very nice, thanks so much for all the responses. I've got tickets ordered and 1 character breakfast on the books. Now to fill in all the rest =).

Does the Unofficial Guide have a longer name or a link? I found a bunch of Unofficial Guides. I'm not able to post links yet so I can't provide what I've found.

Thanks again.

Rhawn: The UG 's name is just that: The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2007. The authors are Bob Sehlinger with Len Testa. I only have the 07 but I think the '08 is out now. Hope this helps.

There is an 2008 out. I ordered mine yesterday from Barnes and Noble. My trip is in 17 days, hopefully it will give some tips for while I am there and use it for booking tips next time.

If it has been 15 years since your last WDW trip, make sure that you read up on how fastpasses work. Also, please remember that you can use FP no matter whether you are staying on or off site.
