Just curious...how many are there of us DVCers out there
that drive other people insane with our insatiable appetite
for DVC?

I don't think I drive people insane ;) only because most of the people I talk to about WDW love it too! A few have even bought DVC after we did b/c we enjoy it so much. They do know that I'm an obsessive WDW planner so who do you think they call when they have questions??? I already have 3 people telling me that they want to plan a trip to WDW the near future and want to pick my brain.:scared:

I am not even a member yet and I am driving everyone crazy. All I seem to do is sleep eat and drink DVC. I guess I should not have waited so long to look into it because not I can't get in fast enough! Any time someone in my family mentions Disney or has a Q about Disney they say just ask me! If you had asked me 7 years ago about Disney I would have had no interest, I didn't go for my first time until I was 28 but now that I've been I'm addicted (we've gone every year since then). My husband says I need a Disney form of AA and now that were waiting for the ROFR he says I need help for that too (this is all in good fun, I think!):rotfl:

Glad I'm not the only one. Right!

I guess I better sign myself in...I'm glad they don't have a 5150 hold for disney addicts or I might be in trouble.:rotfl:

I'm bummed out since I can't go the the first CA DVC event next month.

Count me in. My BFF's are wanting to do a Scrapbooking retreat this year, wouldn't you know....I found one at WDW. Of course I had to send it to them. They told me I've officially been declared as CRAZY!!!

We are currently waiting for ROFR, and I just cannot wait to get my hands on those points so we can book our first trip! I told my sister that we bought DVC and her response was "I can't believe you bought a timeshare". I tried to explain it is NOT like your typical timeshare, and it is DISNEY! She just rolled her eyes, then added "But we wouldn't mind coming with you guys sometime!" :lmao:

Oh gosh, count me in. I actually hate it when I'm around "non-disney" folks because I can't convert them to DVC. They just don't get it. :confused3 Planning DVC trips is what keeps me sane. :lmao:

When I use the "D" word in my house, my husband puts his fingers in his ears and I get la-la'd- you know, "LALALALALA!" My kids say, "OMG, MOM! You love Disney waaaaayyyyy too much!!". When I go to sleep at night, my last thoughts are of my next three Disney vacations....and the three after that. I can not WAIT to get to these boards every day to see if there is any news on KT or anywhere else new. I read my Disney guidebooks like I have never even gone to the parks, like they are thriller novels I just can't put down! I look at photos of all the DVC resorts constantly.

My name is Ellen and I'm a DVC-aholic.

I think I drive myself crazy with the constant ranting of "if I could only buy more points".

Count me in.....I'm quite happy here:rolleyes1
My extended family doesn't even like to bring up the word "vacation" around me, it just gets me started:scared1:

I'm a psychiatric nurse so I am qualified to declare myself TOTALLY LOONY for DVC. It is truly bizarre when I come home from work and my wife (also BATTY) tells me that internet will be free the day we get to Beach Club... not "Hello, honey how was your day?" I actually woke my wife up at 12MN to brainstorm on our next trip. LOONY... KooKoo for Cocoa Puffs.:upsidedow

I'd like to think I'm more along the lines of WDW infectous as opposed to needing psychiatic care:lmao:

Hi, i'm janet and i'm a mouseamanic:thumbsup2

ditto! I have the dream book and I like to watch the DVC DVD a lot and look at photos from of all the DVC resorts over and over again! I even imagine that I"m jogging at SSR when I'm on the treadmill at the gym.. it helps get me through my workout! I finally got DH to discuss DVC with me the other day but he's still not convinced... so I will just quietly keep saving my money and I figure by the time I have enough to buy a small resale, maybe by then he will have come around.

I once told DH that it would be cool for me to get pregnant while we were on a disney vacation... once I said that he looked at me like I was insane and declared that I really was disney crazy. lol.

Elaine,

We must be twins separated at birth. This is my life!

I often thought DVC was the special club for folks with the Disney Virus.....no cure!!

I probably drive my DH and 3 DD's insane, but at least it keeps me sane and it would be hard to imagine my life without WDW/DVC on my mind pretty much 24/7. I am in a happy place every minute of my life and I hope everyone has something that does the same for them. Thanks Walt. :lovestruc

Hello...my name is Michelle and I'm a Disney Addict! :rotfl2:
My mom thought I lost my mind when I told her we were buying DVC...my DFIL (may he rest in peace) told DH and I that we were dumb for not buying in 4 years before we did!
funny thing....we took friends with us on our last trip...first timers...they came home with a DVC membership. I think we've brought in another addict. He called the other day to tell me he was wearing his Mickey Golf shirt and said....wohoo..the mouse is in the house! His DW was very skeptical about WDW....now she's addicted!
There should be a DSM-IV code for all of us!! :rotfl2:
