We are going to WDW in Feb 04' for a week and have been many times before. We've never been to DL and never thought there was need to being WDW is so much bigger. Well my friend suggested we plan a short trip next fall to DL and I was wondering how many days is a good suggestion for seeing both parks? She said we could do each park a day each. We'll both have little ones, 1 and 2yrs, in tow so we'll be moving a little slower. I'm thinking 4 days/3 nights...2 full days and 2 days for relax/travel.

Thanks for any tips on info...we're planning to go around Halloween!

To see everything without rushing around you will need at least 3 days in the parks. Even then you will probably miss somethings. It will also depend on which days you are there. For a nice leisurely pace along with trips back to the hotel/motel for rest and naps I would recommend 4 days. You can take your time and also see downtown Disney and the Grand Californian Hotel.

I agree with daannzzz--you'll need at least three days to see everything. Disneyland itself is comparable to the MK at WDW, with a few additional rides crammed in. I would say about a day and a half to two full days to do everything there. California Adventure is size-wise similar to MGM Studios. It's about a 3/4-1 full day park.

After so many WDW trips, you're going to love how close everything is at DL! So much time is wasted hopping between the parks at WDW. I think you're going to have a lot of fun comparing the two. We love WDW, but Disneyland is still our favorite! :p

I agree, 2 days at DL and 1 at DCA is the minimum. We tend to get 5 day passes now that there are 2 parks plus Downtown Disney. That might be a lot of days for kiddos that little, so you might want to start with a 3 day trip and come back when they are older for a 5 day.

4 days/3 nights should do it. That gives you plenty of time to see everything and still have some time to relax and check out the different hotels, go swimming, shop at DTD, etc.

Another who agrees with 3 full days minimum. We recently went for 2 fulls days plus a few hours the day we arrived and it just wasn't enough time. I came home feeling cheated. So from now on its three days (or more) or nothing.

We had four full days and I wished afterwards that we had skipped USH and used the 5th day at DL, too. With 2 days in DL and one in DCA we had ridden about everything but we really liked park hopping on the 4th day.
