WDW-Play has no clue

I was on the phone this morning with WDW-Play to try and snag an illuminations cruise. My husband was on his cell phone with getting an ADR. Well I got through at 6:59. Told the CM that I wanted a speciatly cruise for 8 pm on Oct. 1. She stated that they were only booking for the 30th and to call back tomorrow. I am not as Disney smart as my husband and just took her at here word. I told my husband and he had me call back immediately. He said they were wrong. Well yes as it turns out they were wrong, the lady kindly told me they were sold out. So I kindly explained to her what happened. I knew there was nothing that could be done, but I just wanted her to know. She acted snippy and said that it wasn't her, and I said that I knew that but that I wanted someone to know. My husband got the ADR after being disconnected after 15 minutes and then on hold for another forty minutes. We were not counting on an Illuminations cruise just thought it would be different and fun.

Don't worry. They were gone super fast this morning. All booked by 703am.

I had my cell phone, hubbys cell phone and the house phone going. Guess what? Hubby who had dialed in after me got through first. And she was ready to hit accept but it wouldn't let her, they were gone. Why? Because she had to ask again, "do you want Magic Kingdom?" Hubby said no, Epcot. Gone.

Oh well, maybe there will be a cancelation.

This happened to me too for the dining line!!

I called at 6:57 for CRT, hit all the right buttons, and was so excited when I got through. (This was my first time doing this in 10 years!!)

Anyway, I blurt out my info, "CRT, party of 5, earliest lunch, August 28th - Please!" And she says "Oh no, we're not booking that today, you must call tomorrow". And the thing was, I KNOW that I was calling on the right day... I take a deep breath, and ask as nicely as humanly possible, "Could you please check again, I'm pretty sure it's today?" She clicks away on the keyboard, and says, "Oh, you're right, it is today!! How many again???"

Well, the good news was that we were still able to get CRT right on the dot of 12 noon, and I was feeling so excited, it felt like I won the lotto...

She says that the computers don't refresh the date until 7 am... so the moral of the story is, be persistent!!

And to the OP, I'm sorry you didn't get the ressie you wanted! Maybe another date? Don't let them mislead you!!!
