WDW Pin Trading question?

Hey guys! It's been a long time! Hope everyone is well!
I have a question. Someone went into TDS the other day
and said that while they were in WDW they were unable to trade
any of the "Disney Store" pins.
Apparently they were told by numerous Castmembers
that those pins were not acceptable traders.

Can anyone clarify this? Or is this a Guests hogwosh
to return the too many pins they bought during 100 years?

First I heard of this.
I traded many in January in WDW.
And my understanding is all the pin needs to read is Disney (c) on the back.
Heck, even pins from Bongo's and RFC were tradable in January at WDW.

I've been trading TDS pin at WDW since December 1999!

Tuesday night some guests were at TDS for pin trading & had just returned from WDW. I specifically asked about TDS pins - both Countdown & YOD pins. They said there were a lot of Countdown pins because they are still being sold in outlets in FL.

But according to Disney's pin trading guidelines, the final decision is ultimately up to the trading CM. Not much you can really do about it.

Hi TinkerKat! Good to see you!

I was just down there 2 weeks ago and traded quite a few of the Disney Store pins with Cast Members! They seemed to really like them and they seem to move off of the lanyards very quickly.

So unless something has changed since April 15th.. TDS pins are more than welcome!
