WDW photographer ??

I'm considering doing the professional photography package at WDW during our next visit.

Something I'd like to be able to do is take some pictures of the poses, especially when it is just my girls.

Do they allow this? I'd like to have a picture I can send to one of my nieces to do an oil painting of. She's just completed her art degree and is a talented portrait artist. She says she can work from a photograph but it needs to be something I took myself not from a professional who's photo's would be copyrighted.

Generally speaking...if a WDW photographer shoots phots in a private setting...I can tell ya that they'll send you one set of proofs so that you can reproduce them....I suspect *legally* photos taken by a WDW photographer techinically are company property....but again....the SOP as I understand it...will permit this.

I just got my picture albums and proofs back from my wedding where I had Disney do all of our photography. On the backs of all of the photos there is a copyright notice. However, I did get a CD of all of the pictures as well - but my *new* husband tells me that the quality of the images on the CD aren't really good enough to print out our own enlargements.

I'm not sure if they'll let you do your own snapshots of the various poses they put you in. We did get some snapshots from the wedding that my husband's step-father took and they are decent pictures. However, I can say that the pics that Disney took are awesome. I'm really glad that we chose to have them do our photography.
