WDW Parks Closed Sunday

Here we go again ... WDW will be closed Sunday due to Hurricane Jeanne.

It's been a rough two months for the resort:

Animal Kingdom - closed 6 days
MGM - Disney Studios - closed 5 days
EPCOT and Magic Kingdom - closed 4 days

Pleasure Island: closed 7 nights

I wonder if Disney has some kind of insurance plan for lost revenue? There has to be some way business' can recoup lost revenue do to reason's beyond their control.

There is such a thing as business interruption insurance. Can you imagine having to pay out that claim, if in fact the parks are covered under such a plan? YIKES!

I only know of three other closures since 1971 when WDW opened

1 Hurricane Floyd which didn't hit
2 9/11/01
3 A power failure closed just Epcot for a day

If WDW had business closure insurance, chances are the cumulative premiums would have been a lot more than the lost revenue from the closures.
