We just spend 14 days in WDW this past June, and are thinking of returning next summer. Our girls are currently 5 and 8. For any of you who have been to both, do you think we'd enjoy California? WDL? or after 2 weeks of exploring WDW, would we be disappointed? I'm not trying to get anything neg. started, but rather the positives of both. Thanks!

I love DLR but can't imagine spending a long vacation there unless you visit other S. California sights. DL is certainly worth doing. There are several attractions that you can't find at WDW and several more are different from Florida. DCA seems to me to be mostly thrill rides, which might not be the best for little ones, but you know your kids. There's plenty to do in the LA area, of course -- Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Hollywood, the beaches (though the water is pretty cold) and you can drive to the San Diego area, as well -- so it should be a lovely vacation.

Actually, that is a good point....we live in Indiana, so we could actually drive do WDW next summer, and save DLR for a few years, when our girls are a little older.

Good plan??? I think it would be neat go eventually go, though...I just don't want my girls to be dissapointed. They did ride the TOT at MGM, and hated it (long story....thought we were going to parent swap, and they begged to go), so I don't want to rush to the thrill rides, yet.
