Hi folks! I have been to WDW a few times, most recently this February for a 2-day solo trip; it was my first time on property and I loved it! On that trip, I booked a bounceback for Pop for the week of December 15. In part, it was because I've always wanted to see the Magic Kingdom at Christmas, stay at a skyliner resort before the prices spike, and check out the new attraction at the WWoHP. (I hate crowds and would only come this time of year so I can see Disney at Christmas). BUT - I was also planning on my mom and sister coming. They've since decided they can't come.
Since my family can't come, I was toying with the idea of going to DL instead. I've never been and I keep hearing that it is less crowded and less stressful than WDW. I would stay off property and visit Universal and maybe another park while I'm out there. BUT - then I hear that attendance and crowds are way down at WDW, even with Galaxy's Edge.
So, I guess I have two questions:
1) Are people expecting the Christmas crowds at WDW to be lower than normal, such that, if I had to go at Christmas, this is the year to go? and
2) How crowded will DL be a Christmas? I know it is near the top of the crowd calendar on both coasts, but it isn't clear to me if DL crowded is the same as WDW crowded.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
